Abstract

1,004,787. Endless conveyers. DEMAG A.G. Oct. 22, 1962 [Oct. 28, 1961], No. 39939/62. Heading B8A. A conveyer is made of articulated steel plates and is suspended from rails 3 in a mine gallery. A conveyer apron 6 is provided with roller chains 7 which, in the loading zone 2a of the conveyer, slide on strips of plastics material 9, Fig. 2. In the non-loading zone, Fig. 3, the chains are carried on rollers 11, 12 mounted on the conveyer frame 8. The rollers 12 have a raised portion 12a which improves tracking of the conveyer. In this zone, portions 13a of side members 13 prevent the conveyer apron from jumping off the rollers. To give additional support to the top run of the conveyer, a further strip of plastics material 10 is provided at the middle of the frame 8.
