Breech actions, sliding breechblock. - Relates to safety devices for automatic pistols, of the kind in which a lever, operated from without. locks the sear, and consists in forming in the pivot 16, which turns with the lever 13, a groove, parallel to its axis, wherein is accommodated a spring 17 adapted to engage in recesses in the pivot bearing to lock the lever in its extreme positions. The pivot 16 has a tooth 15 adapted to engage the sear 9, Fig. 2, and the lever is operated by an external head 14.
