Abstract

1,000,451. Transistor relay circuits. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Dec. 20, 1961 [Jan. 23, 1961], No. 2618/61. Heading H3T. In a transistor relay circuit the relay, the energizing coil EC of which is connected to the collector of transistor TR and to the junction P2 of a series connected resistor R 3 and a Zener diode MR2, is caused to operate whenever the voltage across resistor R 2 of a voltage divider becomes more negative than the limit voltage of a second Zener diode MR1 connected to the emitter of the transistor. The limit value of Zener diode MR2 is higher than that of diode MR1 and by suitable choice of the values of the resistors R 1 , R 2 of the voltage divider connected in parallel with the abovementioned series connection of resistor and diode across input terminals T1, T2 the relay may be made to operate whenever the voltage applied to the terminals T1, T2 is a certain value.
