Abstract
980,370. Automatic current control. MARCONI CO. Ltd. Dec. 18, 1963 [Feb. 1963], No. 4970/63. Heading G3R. Current through a load RL is maintained constant by a chain of transistors such as T1, T2 connected as shown in series with the load, a constant voltage source V1 being connected between the base of T1 and the emitter of T2 and a constant voltage source V2 being connected between the base of T2 and the side of the load remote from the emitter of T2. The sources V1, V2 may be constituted by Zener diodes (Fig. 3, not shown). An embodiment having three series connected transistors is described with reference to Fig. 4(not shown).
