Abstract

834,367. Automatic current control systems. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd. Jan. 22, 1958 [Jan. 23, 1957], No. 2130/58. Class 38 (4). The current to a load RX from a D.C. supply is stabilized by a series transistor Tr1. The base current of the transistor, flowing through a resistor R1, being controlled by a second transistor Tr2 amplifying a fraction of the variation in the voltage across a resistor R2 from a tapping on a potentiometer R3. In a modification, the emitter of Tr2 is connected to the positive supply terminal.
