L'invention concerne un procédé d'aide au pilotage d'un véhicule (1), comprenant des étapes de : a) acquisition d'une image d'un environnement extérieur au véhicule (1) par une unité d'imagerie (5), b) détection d'un objet sur l'image acquise par une unité de calcul d'imagerie (9), c) détermination d'une première distance entre l'objet détecté et le véhicule par l'unité de calcul d'imagerie, Selon l'invention, le procédé comprend en outre des étapes de : d) transmission de la première distance à une unité de calcul de télémétrie, et h) identification par l'unité de calcul de télémétrie d'une zone cible sur laquelle le véhicule (1) peut aller se placer, compte tenu de la première distance.
