Abstract

Description

The invention relates to an applicator for a cosmetic product and an associated applicator assembly. Cosmetic product applicator assemblies are known, in particular for a cosmetic product intended to be applied to eyelashes such as mascara, comprising a container containing the cosmetic product and an applicator adapted to be removably attached to the container. The container generally comprises a body, the body comprising walls defining a reservoir in which the cosmetic product is contained, and a neck defining an opening through which the cosmetic product can be extracted. The applicator assembly generally includes a cap adapted to be attached to the neck, a stem extending from the plug and an applicator attached to a free end of the stem. When the cap is fixed on the neck, the rod and the applicator extend inside the tank. The applicator is immersed in the cosmetic product contained in the reservoir.

Said core 12 has, in addition, a cross section of elongate shape in a direction perpendicular to said main axis X. Elongated cross section means a cross section whose shape is longer than wide. The cross section of the core 12 is, for example, oval, without necessarily being an ellipse proper. However, said cross section is advantageously elliptical, or close to an ellipse which has a large radius of between 3mm and 5mm and a small radius of between 1mm and 3mm. In particular, said ellipse has a large radius substantially equal to 3.5 mm and a small radius substantially equal to 2 mm, at least at one point of the main axis, said point being situated between the proximal and distal ends 13 and 16, in particular their medium. Preferably, the type of shape and / or the angular orientation of said transverse section of the core 12 is substantially constant, from its proximal end 13 to its distal end 16. This means that even if the cross section of the core 12 may have a surface of variable dimension along the core 12, it keeps the same type of contour and / or the same angular orientation. The exemplary embodiment illustrated here shows ribs 30 which extend over the entire radial periphery of the core 12. Said ribs 30 have a substantially identical radial extension H. In other words, said ribs 30 protrude, from the core 12, on substantially the same height H. Thus, said ribs 30 have a radial extension H less than 1/5, or even 1/10, of a smaller dimension of said core 12. Said radial extension H will be between 0.1mm and 0.7mm and more particularly, substantially equal to 0.3mm.
