- applicator assemblies for cosmetic product in particular for cosmetic product intended to be applied to the eyelashes such as mascara, comprising a container containing the cosmetic product and an applicator adapted to be removably attached to the container.
- the container generally comprises a body, the body comprising walls defining a reservoir in which the cosmetic product is contained, and a neck defining an opening through which the cosmetic product can be extracted.
- the applicator assembly generally comprises a plug adapted to be fixed on the neck, a rod extending from the plug and an applicator fixed to a free end of the rod.
- the applicator includes a core and a plurality of protrusions or bristles extending from the core.
- the rod and the applicator extend inside the reservoir.
- the applicator is immersed in the cosmetic product contained in the reservoir.
- the user detaches the cap from the neck and extracts the applicator from the container.
- the present invention aims to solve the following problem: to propose an applicator which simplifies the makeup of the eyes by limiting the number of applicators while offering a large possibility of make-up.
- the invention relates to an applicator for a cosmetic product comprising a core, a plurality of protrusions projecting from the core to form a brush, and a spatula situated in the extension of the core, said spatula being configured to flex, the protrusions and the tip being molded with the core.
- the advantage associated with the applicator of the invention lies in the possibility given to the user to apply a cosmetic product to his eyelashes, on his eyelids and around his eyes, this using a single applicator. .
- the depositor has in fact found that adding a spatula in the extension of an eyelash applicator makes it possible to overcome the disadvantage which consists in changing the applicator for each desired effect (eyelashes, eyelids, eye contour), this according to a natural gesture allowing a wide variety of make-ups.
- An additional effect associated with the applicator according to the invention consists in the economy of cosmetic product. Indeed, the user charges the applicator of the invention only once and can then take advantage of all the possibilities it offers, without having to recharge it.
- the invention also relates to an applicator assembly for cosmetic product, comprising: a container comprising a body forming a reservoir intended to contain the cosmetic product, and an applicator, as described above, adapted to be fixed on the container, so that the the applicator is housed inside the reservoir.
- the figures illustrate an applicator for cosmetic product according to the invention comprising a core 12, a plurality of protrusions 30 projecting from the core 12, and a spatula 20 situated in the extension of the core 12.
- the core 12 has a first end, called the proximal end 14 of the core, and a second end, called the distal end 16 of the core.
- the core 12 extends in a direction of longitudinal extension, called the main extension axis, and referenced X on the Figures 1 to 3 and 5 .
- the distal end 16 of the core 12 could be considered as the zone located just downstream of the last protrusions 30 going towards the spatula 20.
- the proximal end 14 of the core 12 could be considered as the zone lying just upstream of the first protrusions 30 or, as here, the zone corresponding to a stop ring.
- the spatula 20 also has a first end, called the proximal end 24 of the spatula, and a second end, called the distal end 26 of the spatula.
- the distal end 26 of the spatula is free.
- the spatula 20 here extends from the distal end 16 of the core, in particular in the direction of the main extension axis X. In other words, the proximal end 24 of the spatula 20 and the distal end 16 of the core 12 merge.
- the core 12 may have a flared part at its distal end 16, said flared part of the core 12 forming a base for the spatula 20.
- the spatula can advantageously s 'extend along the main extension axis X of the core 12.
- the core 12 will preferably have a substantially constant cross section from its proximal end 14 to its distal end 16, at least up to its flared part. As illustrated in figure 4 , this cross section will be substantially circular.
- the core 12 of the applicator according to the invention, and the protuberances 30 which project from the core 12, form a brush 10.
- the core 12 has, along the main extension axis X, a first height H, while the spatula has, along the same main extension axis, a second height h.
- Said heights H and h are such that 0.1 ⁇ h / H ⁇ 0.5.
- the height H could be of the order of 21 mm and the height h of the order of 8mm.
- the applicator will have a height H of the order of 18mm and a height h of the order of 6mm.
- the particular technical shape of the spatula 20 makes it possible to define, at its distal end 26, a substantially pointed shape, so as to provide a particularly precise area for applying cosmetic product.
- the spatula 20 here has two faces F1, F2 applicators. These faces F1, F2 extend, like the spatula 20, along the main extension axis X. One of these sides, side F1, is shown in detail on the figure 3 . They have, for example, an ovoid outline.
- these faces F1, F2 are provided symmetrical with respect to a plane P, called the facial plane.
- This plan P is visible on the figure 3 (it is also the plan of the sheet).
- the spatula 20 has lateral surfaces L1, L2. These lateral surfaces L1, L2 may have a rounded profile, preferably convex. In an alternative embodiment (not shown), these lateral surfaces L1, L2 are rectilinear.
- the distance separating said applicator faces F1, F2 from the spatula is decreasing, from the proximal end 24 to the distal end 26 of the spatula 20.
- the distance between said faces F1, F2 is of the order of 2.8mm at the proximal end 24 and around 0.6mm at the distal end 26. This is how the refined or pointed area is defined at the free end 26 of the spatula 20, in particular in the facial plane P.
- the distance separating said faces F1, F2 is constant, of the order of 0.6mm.
- the applicator faces F1, F2 have grooves 22.
- Said grooves 22 are oriented transversely to the main extension axis X. They could also, in alternative embodiments (not shown) be oriented obliquely to the axis d main extension X, or even cover only a discrete part of said applicator surfaces F1, F2; they could be substantially rectilinear, or even have a wavy profile.
- said streaks are substantially rounded.
- the embodiment illustrated in figure 5 corresponds to straight streaks 22, the streaks 22 made on the surface of the first applicator face F1 being offset, or staggered, with respect to the streaks 22 made on the surface of the second applicator face F2.
- said ridges 22 will be distributed differently on each of the applicator faces F1, F2, said faces then not being symmetrical with respect to the plane facial P, taking into account the difference in positioning of their ridges 22.
- the thickness of material along the main extension axis X is substantially constant along the spatula 20, from its proximal end 24 to its distal end 26.
- the distribution of the ridges 22 of the first applicator face F1 with respect to the distribution of the ridges 22 of the second applicator face F2 is such that it contributes to making the spatula flexible, supple.
- said ridges 22 make it possible to retain a fraction of cosmetic product on said applicator faces F1, F2 when loading the applicator according to the invention, this without absorption of said product. Indeed, the streaks 22 create grooves in which the formula is retained. In other words, the ridges 22 retain a fraction of cosmetic product thanks to their technical shape and not by porosity of the material of the spatula 20, said spatula being preferably obtained in a non-porous material.
- the applicator according to the invention is particularly advantageous because it allows the application of cosmetic product to emphasize the eye contour of the user, this thanks to the lateral surfaces L1, L2 and / or thanks to the tip produced at the end distal 26 of the spatula 20.
- the applicator of the invention also allows the application of cosmetic product to the eyelids of the user in order to obtain the effect of an eyeshadow, this using the applicator faces F1, F2.
- the applicator of the invention allows, thanks to the brush formed by the core 12 and the protrusions 30, the application of product to the eyelashes of the user, this without coming to apply cosmetic product to the user's nose.
- the spatula 20 will be dimensioned so that it does not come into contact with the nose of the user when the latter uses the applicator of the invention to make up his eyelashes.
- spatula 20 may be flexible in any plane intersecting the facial plane P, preferably in any plane which comprises the main extension axis X and which is substantially orthogonal to said facial plane P.
- spatula 20 One of the advantages associated with the flexibility of the spatula 20 consists in providing the same softness effect as a brush on the user's eyelids. To further increase this effect, said spatula may be in the form of fingers.
- the applicator faces F1, F2 are slightly curved, preferably concave. They are generated by a line orthogonal to the main extension axis X.
- the rows here have the characteristic of being inclined relative to the main extension axis X. More precisely, said rows here follow substantially helical lines, said lines being drawn on the surface of the core 12, from its end proximal 14 at its distal end 16.
- the rows may also be parallel to the main extension axis X (alternative embodiment not shown).
- They may also be inclined relative to said axis X, while being parallel to each other.
- the radial spacing between said rows around the periphery of the core 12 takes place at a constant angular distance. Said angular distance will be in the interval [20 °; 45 °]; it will be around 30 °.
- the exemplary embodiment illustrated here has ten rows, this number of rows varying as a function of the angular distance chosen between said rows.
- protrusions 30 of two adjacent rows are aligned axially with respect to each other. They may also be offset axially with respect to each other (alternative embodiment partially shown in the figure 5 ).
- the rows have the same number of protuberances 30, with more or less a protuberance 30 close, for example twenty protuberances 30.
- said protrusions 30 preferably have a semicircular section.
- the protrusions 30 each have a planar surface 34.
- the protrusions are here positioned so that the flat surfaces 34 of two adjacent protrusions 30 of two different rows are oriented in the same gyratory direction around the core 12 (see figure 4 ).
- the protrusions are positioned so that the planar surfaces 34 of two adjacent protrusions 30 are oriented in the same direction of rotation, in particular a direction of rotation identical to that of said helical rows in the case of the helical rows illustrated in figures 1 to 4 .
- the term “gyratory direction” is understood to mean the gyratory direction observed by a person looking at the applicator of the invention from a point near the free distal end 26 of the spatula 20. Thus, no flat face 34 is is opposite another flat face 34.
- the molding of said protrusions 30 with the core 12 will therefore be easy, because it allows the use of molding drawers of simple shapes, all having substantially the same shape, and which are all oriented radially in the same direction.
- the protrusions 30 will advantageously be rectilinear and may furthermore be substantially tapered from their base to their free end.
- Said protrusions 30 will all have substantially the same length. In other words, the distance between the radial periphery of the core 12 and the free end of the protrusions 30 will be substantially the same for all the protrusions 30 that the applicator comprises. An exception is made here, however, for the protrusions 31, 32, 33, called distal, that is to say the protrusions 31, 32, 33 which extend near the spatula 20.
- distal protrusions 31, 32, 33 form an envelope E2 in the form of a truncated warhead (see Figures 1 and 2 ), while the protrusions 30 which extend between the proximal end 14 of the core and the distal protrusions 31, 32, 33 form a substantially cylindrical envelope E1 (see figures 2 and 4 ).
- the advantage associated with the shell in the shape of a warhead E2 lies in the ease of maneuvering the applicator through the neck of the container from which it is extracted.
- the protrusions 30 will have a different height from one row to another.
- the protrusions 30 will preferably be molded with the same plastic as the core 12, or even from material of the core 12. It is the same for the spatula 20.
- said protrusions 30, like the spatula 20 previously described, will come from material of the core 12.
- the core 12, the protrusions 30 and said spatula 20 may be molded from a material based on LDPE (low density polyethylene).
- LDPE low density polyethylene
- Other materials may also be used, namely the “EXACT” material from ExxonMobil or the “HYTREL” material from Dupont, or a mixture of these materials.
- TPE Thermoplastic Elastomers
- TPU Thermoplastic Polyurethane
- SBS Styrene-butadiene-styrene
- SEBS styrene-ethylene-butylene-styrene copolymers
- PA Polyamide
- the spatula 20 could also be assembled to the core 12, by gluing, by clipping, by force fitting, by friction, using an additional part, by screwing, or even being overmolded on the core. This makes it possible to provide a spatula 20 made of a material with different mechanical properties from that in which the core 12 and / or the protrusions 30 will be made, or even in a different color.
- the invention also relates to an applicator assembly for cosmetic product, comprising: a container comprising a body forming a reservoir intended to contain the cosmetic product (not shown), and an applicator, as described in claim 1, adapted to be fixed on the container, so that the applicator is housed inside the tank.
- Said applicator is fixed, for example, to the end of a rod, itself fixed to a cap advantageously screwed to the container.
- the sleeve 15 is located in the rod and the proximal end 14 of the core 12 corresponds to the distal end of the rod.
- said applicator may include a sleeve 15, provided in the extension of the proximal end of the core 12 (see Figures 1 and 2 ). Said sleeve 15 here extends from the stop ring 14.
- the container may include a wringer (not shown), fixed inside the neck.
- a wringer (not shown), fixed inside the neck.
- the wringer thus makes it possible to adjust the quantity of product present on the applicator and avoids excessive application of cosmetic product to the eyelashes.
- the spatula 20 is configured to graze the wiper in a plurality of distinct zones.
- grazing means: coming close with or without contact. In other words, there is a slight clearance, or even a slight friction, between the spatula 20 and the wiper, for example coming from a difference in overall dimensions of less than 1 mm, or even 0.5 mm, or even 0.2 mm.
- the proposed applicator assembly thus makes it possible to limit the presence of residue of cosmetic product at the free end of the applicator which remains in the container thanks shear.
- the applicator remains clean and the cosmetic product can be applied to the eyelashes with good precision and without overloading.
- Said distinct zones are located in the facial plane P, on either side of the main extension axis: these are the extremums of the lateral faces L1, L2 described above; in other words, these are the areas where the spatula 20 has a maximum external dimension d20 (see figure 1 ).
- the distance separating said distinct zones is close to an internal diameter of the wiper.
- said external space requirement d20 could be of the order of 5mm and the internal diameter of the wiper, 5.3mm. This means, for example, that the play existing between the spatula 20 and the wiper, at least in the vicinity of said areas intended to graze the wiper is 0.15mm.
- the applicator may have a flat core or even a core of polygonal cross section, and / or a curved core.

Description
The invention relates to an applicator for a cosmetic product and an associated applicator assembly.
There are known applicator assemblies for cosmetic product, in particular for cosmetic product intended to be applied to the eyelashes such as mascara, comprising a container containing the cosmetic product and an applicator adapted to be removably attached to the container.
The container generally comprises a body, the body comprising walls defining a reservoir in which the cosmetic product is contained, and a neck defining an opening through which the cosmetic product can be extracted.
The applicator assembly generally comprises a plug adapted to be fixed on the neck, a rod extending from the plug and an applicator fixed to a free end of the rod. The applicator includes a core and a plurality of protrusions or bristles extending from the core.
When the cap is fixed on the neck, the rod and the applicator extend inside the reservoir. The applicator is immersed in the cosmetic product contained in the reservoir.
To use the applicator, the user detaches the cap from the neck and extracts the applicator from the container.
- a felt to emphasize the eye area; and or
- an applicator dedicated to making up the eyelids (a brush in general).
The present invention aims to solve the following problem: to propose an applicator which simplifies the makeup of the eyes by limiting the number of applicators while offering a large possibility of make-up.
Thus, the invention relates to an applicator for a cosmetic product comprising a core, a plurality of protrusions projecting from the core to form a brush, and a spatula situated in the extension of the core, said spatula being configured to flex, the protrusions and the tip being molded with the core.
The advantage associated with the applicator of the invention lies in the possibility given to the user to apply a cosmetic product to his eyelashes, on his eyelids and around his eyes, this using a single applicator. . The depositor has in fact found that adding a spatula in the extension of an eyelash applicator makes it possible to overcome the disadvantage which consists in changing the applicator for each desired effect (eyelashes, eyelids, eye contour), this according to a natural gesture allowing a wide variety of make-ups.
An additional effect associated with the applicator according to the invention consists in the economy of cosmetic product. Indeed, the user charges the applicator of the invention only once and can then take advantage of all the possibilities it offers, without having to recharge it.

The figures illustrate an applicator for cosmetic product according to the invention comprising a
The
The
The
It should be noted that the

- the particular technical shape of the

ridges 22 provided on the applicator faces F1, F2.
On the other hand, the particular technical shape of the
To connect the applicator faces F1, F2, the
The distance separating said applicator faces F1, F2 from the spatula is decreasing, from the

The distribution of the
In addition to participating in the bending of the
The applicator according to the invention is particularly advantageous because it allows the application of cosmetic product to emphasize the eye contour of the user, this thanks to the lateral surfaces L1, L2 and / or thanks to the tip produced at the end distal 26 of the
It should be noted that the
One of the advantages associated with the flexibility of the

Les rangées présentent ici la caractéristique d'être inclinée par rapport à l'axe d'extension principale X. Plus précisément, lesdites rangées suivent ici des lignes sensiblement hélicoïdales, lesdites lignes étant dessinées à la surface de l'âme 12, de son extrémité proximale 14 à son extrémité distale 16.The rows here have the characteristic of being inclined relative to the main extension axis X. More precisely, said rows here follow substantially helical lines, said lines being drawn on the surface of the core 12, from its end proximal 14 at its
Les rangées pourront aussi être parallèles à l'axe d'extension principal X (mode de réalisation alternatif non représenté).The rows may also be parallel to the main extension axis X (alternative embodiment not shown).
They may also be inclined relative to said axis X, while being parallel to each other.
The radial spacing between said rows around the periphery of the
On the same axial portion, the rows have the same number of
On the other hand, said
Ainsi, aucune face plane 34 n'est en vis-à-vis d'une autre face plane 34.The term “gyratory direction” is understood to mean the gyratory direction observed by a person looking at the applicator of the invention from a point near the free
The molding of said
The
The advantage associated with the shell in the shape of a warhead E2 lies in the ease of maneuvering the applicator through the neck of the container from which it is extracted.
In an embodiment not shown, the
The soul will preferably be full.
According to alternative embodiments, which are not part of the invention, the
The invention also relates to an applicator assembly for cosmetic product, comprising: a container comprising a body forming a reservoir intended to contain the cosmetic product (not shown), and an applicator, as described in claim 1, adapted to be fixed on the container, so that the applicator is housed inside the tank. Said applicator is fixed, for example, to the end of a rod, itself fixed to a cap advantageously screwed to the container.
In addition, to prevent the applicator from being overloaded with cosmetic product, the container may include a wringer (not shown), fixed inside the neck. When the user extracts the applicator from the container, the applicator slides inside the wiper. The wiper scrapes off the excess cosmetic product on the rod and on the applicator.
The wringer thus makes it possible to adjust the quantity of product present on the applicator and avoids excessive application of cosmetic product to the eyelashes.
It should be noted that the
This gives a shearing effect of the residue of cosmetic product on the
The distance separating said distinct zones is close to an internal diameter of the wiper. For example, said external space requirement d20 could be of the order of 5mm and the internal diameter of the wiper, 5.3mm. This means, for example, that the play existing between the
It should also be noted that alternative embodiments are of course possible. In particular, it is also possible, in additional embodiments, for the applicator to have a flat core or even a core of polygonal cross section, and / or a curved core.
The alternative and additional embodiments presented above can be combined with one another, without departing from the scope of the invention, in so far as they are covered by the appended claims.
