Abstract
Description
TECHNICAL FIELD Technical Field: The present invention relates to a device for collecting and channeling water spread over a surface such as in particular a pool edge, a terrace, a garage descent or similar, said device comprising a channel having a bottom bordered by two longitudinal walls, said channel communicating on the one hand with said surface and on the other hand with means for discharging the recovered water. PRIOR ART: There are currently on the market many recovery and water channeling devices designed to meet the various constraints raised by their multiple applications. By its activity as a pool installer, the present applicant has been regularly confronted with the implementation of such devices as means for recovering water from basins. Having acquired expertise in the field of overflow type pools, he was able to identify a number of disadvantages raised by overflowing water chutes that these swimming pools are equipped with.
Typically, most models of overflow pools presently include a metal shell, including stainless steel, having a peripheral wall whose upper end has an "L" structure. The latter is intended to form a peripheral channel "U" after gluing a row of ceramic pieces arranged along the horizontal portion of the structure in "L", in the extension of the vertical wall of the shell. Such a channel is arranged to be covered by one or more protection grids which, once installed, allow the water contained in the pool to flow into it by retaining the sheets and other solids. These grids must also be placed flush with the beach surface to allow easy and safe circulation around the pool. It has been observed that the ceramic parts that contribute to the structure of the trench do not resist freezing and flake or even crack when subjected to them, causing a loss of tightness of the channel. Therefore, installing such rills in regions where winters are harsh requires expensive maintenance or even repair and is not recommended. In addition, the ceramic elements are exclusively adaptable to the specific structure of the metal shell mentioned above. They are therefore not suitable for installation on a swimming pool made by other construction techniques and in particular concrete poured on site, the implementation of which is however less expensive because it avoids the problem of transport posed by the metal shell and allows the realization of pools of various shapes.
On the other hand, the trench must ensure impeccable sealing to prevent water leakage by infiltration into the ground, which is currently very difficult to achieve both with the previously described construction technique with different techniques providing in particular the implementation of channels made of plastic material. Indeed, in this case, the seal is provided by the basin liner which is welded over the channel to cover it, which is not a durable solution. In addition, the channels of this type pose major problems of rigging, so leveling.
In addition, the grids covering the trench are traditionally made of plastic, which not only does not meet the expectations from a qualitative and aesthetic point of view of most customers but is also inconsistent with equipment such as 'an infinity pool renowned high-end, the price particularly high. DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION: The present invention aims at overcoming the disadvantages mentioned above by proposing an alternative to the overflow water recovery device described above, in which the channel constitutes an autonomous structure, which can be achieved by means of non-gel elements and incorporating a clean sealing system. Thus, such a device can not only be implanted in any region of the globe, including those subjected to harsh winters, but also can be implemented on any type of basin regardless of the construction technique and in any type of application for which it is necessary to recover and channel water or any liquid, making this device universal. Such a device can thus advantageously equip different types of basin, for example whose walls are constructed using concrete blocks or polystyrene plates filled with concrete. Furthermore, it can be installed near any type of surface, such as for example a green roof, a terrace, requiring the recovery and disposal of the water that accumulates there. Another object of the invention is also to propose a device for recovering water flowing over a surface whose constituent materials are made of a material other than plastic, so as to be compatible both with a mechanical view that from an aesthetic point of view with those covering said surface. For this purpose, the invention relates to a device of the type indicated in the preamble, characterized in that said channel comprises on the one hand at least one prefabricated module section substantially "L" whose branches respectively define said bottom and one said longitudinal walls of said channel, and at least one prefabricated block section substantially "I" forming the other longitudinal wall of said channel, said module being arranged to be fixed on a bearing structure bordering said surface, and secondly a sealing coating arranged to cover at least the face of said module intended to be in contact with the collected water and a junction zone located between said channel and said supporting structure when said module is fixed on said supporting structure.
According to a preferred embodiment, said sealing liner consists of a substantially "Z" -shaped sheet metal comprising at least one metal sheet on which is intimately bonded, preferably by bonding, at least one sheet of a waterproof material.
Advantageously, said waterproofing coating is fixed on said module by assembly means arranged to allow an intimate assembly between the metal sheet of said sheet and said module. In addition according to another characteristic of the invention, said sheet is extended by a skirt arranged to cover said junction area between said channel and said supporting structure.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, said metal sheet is a sheet of galvanized steel or stainless steel and said sheet of waterproof material is a PVC sheet.
According to another characteristic of the invention, said module is made of cast and reinforced concrete. Furthermore, the invention also provides that said module comprises assembly means on said load-bearing structure arranged to allow adjustment of the horizontality of said channel when said module is fixed on said supporting structure, such as for example at least one layer of glue whose thickness is adjusted and / or mechanical fixing means.
According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, said channel comprises a plurality of modules aligned against each other on said supporting structure, and a plurality of blocks aligned against each other on said bottom of said channel. Furthermore, the device according to the invention is further characterized in that said channel is arranged to be covered at least partially by a protective grid having a plurality of transverse slots and resting on said longitudinal walls of said channel. For this purpose, said channel has two shoulders formed near the upper end of each of its longitudinal walls and arranged to receive the longitudinal edges of said protective grid when it rests on said channel. In this case, at least one of said shoulders forms, with respect to the plane defined by said surface, an angle α such that when said protective grid rests on said longitudinal walls, it is inclined towards said surface and contains the water in said channel. In addition, at least one of the longitudinal walls of said channel preferably comprises an angle bracket suitably fixed on its upper edge to form one of said shoulders. According to an additional feature of the invention, said block is fixed on said bottom of said channel by assembly means comprising for example at least one adhesive layer whose thickness is adjusted to allow adjustment of the horizontality of said block . On the other hand, said block is preferably made of a material selected from concrete, a natural stone, a ceramic, a composite material. The invention is further characterized in that said protective grid is made of a material selected from a natural stone, concrete, a composite material, a metal, a synthetic material, a wood.
According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, said grid comprises at least one longitudinal groove formed near its longitudinal edge communicating with said surface when said grid rests on said channel.
According to another variant embodiment, said grid comprises between its two longitudinal edges a recessed area forming a bowl arranged to contain the water in said channel. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS The present invention and its advantages will become more apparent in the following description of an embodiment given by way of non-limiting example, with reference to the appended drawings, in which: FIG. 1 represents a perspective view of a device according to the invention comprising a channel covered by a grid placed on the periphery of an overflow type swimming pool, - Figure 2 is a cross-sectional view of the device according to the invention of Figure 1, and Figure 3 is a perspective view of an alternative embodiment of the grid covering said channel. Illustration of the invention and a better way of carrying it out: With reference to the figures, the invention relates to a device 1 for the recovery and channeling of water spreading towards a surface 2 such that, in the variant illustrated, a overflow type pool beach located flush with the water 3 contained in a pool 4, and likely to be flooded by the water overflowing from said pool. Such a device 1 comprises a channel 5 conventionally having a bottom 6 bordered by two longitudinal walls 7, 8. Said channel 5 communicates with the surface 2 on the one hand to recover the water that spills over the basin 4 and on the other hand with a drain pipe 9 of the recovered water, of suitable size, and allowing, in the illustrated example, to reinject the water into said basin 4 in a closed circuit by means of a pump ( not illustrated). According to the invention, said channel 5 comprises several prefabricated modules 10, with a section substantially in "L", aligned with each other and whose branches respectively define the bottom 6 and the longitudinal wall 7 of the channel 5. The channel 5 further comprises several prefabricated blocks 11, substantially section "I", aligned against each other along the edge 60 of the bottom 6 of the channel 5 so as to form the longitudinal wall 8 of said channel 5.
The module 10 is preferably obtained by molding a non-gel material, such as, for example, reinforced and fiber reinforced concrete or any other equivalent material having similar properties, while the block 11 is preferably made of a non-gel material such as as for example concrete, a natural stone, a ceramic, a composite material or any other equivalent material, chosen according to the application in question. In the overflow pool application illustrated by the figures, the blocks 11 are visible through the water transparently. Therefore, the choice of a material similar or identical to that of which the surface 2 is covered, namely the surrounding area, such as for example a non-frost natural stone, for producing said blocks 11 advantageously makes it possible to propose a channel 5 to both solid, durable and in perfect harmony with the environment in which it is installed.
As illustrated by FIGS. 1 and 2, the modules 10 are fixed on a supporting structure 12, defined in the example illustrated by a peripheral wall of the basin 4, and conventionally made, for example, of banque concrete, of masonry. 'agglomerated, by means of lost formwork elements made of polystyrene filled with concrete, from a wood or composite frame or any other material and / or similar process.
Of course, the modules 10 can also be assembled on a supporting structure of different configuration, adapted to the intended application, such as in particular a concrete slab, or the like. In order to allow an adjustment of the horizontality of the channel 5, the modules 10 are assembled on the supporting structure 12, for example by means of at least one layer of adhesive, mortar or the like, whose thickness is adjusted and / or mechanical fixing means, such as for example screws or any other equivalent means. Similarly, the prefabricated blocks 11 are fixed on the bottom 6 of the channel 5 by assembly means such as for example at least one layer of glue, mortar or the like, whose thickness is adjusted so as to allow a adjusting their horizontality. Such features make it possible to ensure that once installed the channel 5 is located perfectly flush with the level of the water 3 contained in the basin 4, as required by a properly installed overflow pool. The modules 10, as well as the blocks 11, are assembled together by an adhesive, a mortar or the like to ensure the continuity of the channel 5. It could also be provided that the modules 10 and the prefabricated blocks 11 comprise on their transverse faces complementary male / female interlocking forms to ensure a mechanical interlocking in addition to an assembly by gluing.
Furthermore, the channel 5 further comprises a sealing coating 14 arranged to cover at least the face 13 of the modules 10, intended to be in contact with the water collected by the channel 5, in particular the upper face. illustrated example, the sealing liner 14 consists of a metal sheet comprising a galvanized steel or stainless steel sheet of substantially "Z" -shaped cross-section, on which a PVC-tight sheet or the like is intimately bonded, in particular by bonding or any other equivalent means. This sealing liner 14 is intimately fixed to each of said modules 10, preferably by bonding the sheet of metal sheet on the upper face 13 of said module 10. It furthermore has a dimension sufficient to comprise a lower portion forming a skirt 16 arranged to also cover the junction zone 15 extending between the channel 5 and the supporting structure 12 when said modules 10 are fixed on said supporting structure 12. Moreover, as illustrated in the figures, in the illustrated example the skirt 16 also advantageously makes it possible to fix the upper peripheral edge of a liner 17, for example by heat-sealing on the PVC sheet of the sheet 14. Such a configuration thus guarantees a perfect continuity of the seal between the basin 4 and the channel 5. According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the channel 5 of the device 1 is arranged to be covered by a gr protection island 18, preferably removable, intended to rest on said longitudinal walls 7, 8 of said channel 5 and to circulate safely on the latter. Said protective grid 18 conventionally comprises a plurality of transverse slots 19 for retaining any solid particles, such as for example dead leaves, while allowing the water to pass. Said protective grid 18 is made of a material such as for example a natural stone, concrete, a composite material, a metal, a synthetic material, wood or the like, chosen according to the constraints raised by the intended application. In the example illustrated, the protective grid 18 is preferably made of natural stone and further comprises two longitudinal grooves 20 (see Figs 1 and 2), respectively formed near each of its two longitudinal edges 24, 25. Such longitudinal grooves 20 can contain the water above the channel 5 and prevent it from flowing out of the protective grid 18 towards the beach or natural terrain. This is particularly advantageous when a large volume of water is projected towards the channel 5 such as in particular waves caused by a swirl in the pool.
According to another variant embodiment illustrated in FIG. 3, the protective grid 180 may comprise a central curved zone extending over its entire length and forming a bowl 21 arranged to orient the water towards the bottom of the channel 5 to prevent it from migrating out of the protective grid 180 towards the beach or natural terrain. The transverse slots 19, the longitudinal grooves 20 and the bowl 21 may be made in a natural stone block by machining according to a method by cutting with water jet, by milling or any other equivalent technique. As illustrated by Figures 1 and 2, the upper ends of the longitudinal walls 7, 8 of the channel 5 each comprise a shoulder 22, 23 on which the longitudinal edges 24, 25 of the protective grid 18 are seated when rests on the channel 5, thus stalling the grid transversely. In the illustrated example, the shoulder 22 forms with respect to the plane P defined by the surface of the water contained in the basin 4 an angle a of a few degrees such that when the protective grid 18 rests on the longitudinal walls 7, 8 it is inclined towards the basin 4 and contains the overflow water in the channel 5 avoiding that it flows beyond the channel 5 towards the beach or natural terrain. Of course, the shoulder 23 could be configured similarly for the same purpose. The shoulder 22 formed on the longitudinal wall 7 defined by the prefabricated module 10 whose upper face 13 is coated with the rolled sheet 14 is also preferably defined by a bracket 26 suitably fixed to the upper edge of the longitudinal wall. 7. Such an angle iron 26, preferably of PVC, can be fixed by welding on the rolled sheet 14 which is coated with the upper edge of the longitudinal wall 7. When the protective grid 18 is made of a material such as in particular concrete or natural stone, the presence of the angle 26 makes it possible to preserve the integrity and thus the tightness of the stained sheet 14 while avoiding any contact with said protective grid 18 and said sheet metal 14. Possibilities of industrial application: It is clear from this description that the invention achieves the objectives set. Indeed, the recovery device and water pipe according to the invention defines an autonomous structure, universal can be implemented in many applications. It is made from materials whose nature can be adapted as well depending on the application, the location and the available budget. Furthermore, the device according to the invention is perfectly sealed and thus prevents any inadvertent water leakage into the surrounding environment. The present invention is not limited to the embodiment described but extends to all modifications and variations obvious to a person skilled in the art while remaining within the scope of protection defined in the appended claims.
