L'invention se rapporte à une nouvelle souche de microalgue du genre Odontella, capable de croître en mode mixotrophe, ainsi qu'à un procédé de sélection et de culture d'une telle souche permettant une production d'acides gras polyinsaturés, notamment d'EPA et de DHA, en mode hétérotrophe ou mixotrophe.
