Abstract

Lors de la fixation d'une barre de toit sur le véhicule, chacune des deux pattes latérales d'accrochage de cette barre doit être glissée, entre la lèvre supérieure 2 de la vitre de custode et la surface 3 du côté d'habitacle 4, puis être serrée contre cette surface 3. Lors de cet engagement de la patte d'accrochage de la barre de toit, la lèvre 2 risque, du fait de sa souplesse, d'être retournée dans l'espace 5 situé entre la surface 3 du côté d'habitacle 4 et la lèvre 2 de la vitre de custode. Ce retournement de la lèvre 2 confère un aspect esthétique dégradé qu'il convient d'éviter. Un tel retournement de la lèvre 2 peut également être provoqué en appuyant sur cette lèvre ou lors d'un lavage sous haute pression du véhicule. Le but de la présente invention est de remédier à cet inconvénient. Ce but est atteint, selon l'invention, grâce à un dispositif pour empêcher le retournement de la lèvre supérieure de la vitre de custode d'un véhicule automobile, notamment lors de la mise en place d'une barre de toit, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend une pièce rigide présentant une forme adaptée pour pouvoir être introduite, après déformation élastique de ladite lèvre, dans l'espace compris entre cette lèvre et la partie supérieure du côté d'habitacle du véhicule. Cette pièce rigide, après sa mise en place, remplit ainsi une partie de l'espace compris entre la lèvre de la vitre de custode et la partie supérieure du côté d'habitacle. Elle empêche ainsi le retournement de cette lèvre dans l'espace ci-dessus, lors de l'engagement de la patte d'accrochage d'une barre de toit ou lors d'un lavage sous haute pression du véhicule, ou simplement lorsqu'on appuie sur la lèvre.
