Abstract

The cover for a supporting structure with radial arms (2) consists of a number of triangular panels (3A) with fastenings (20, 30) on its long sides for attaching to an adjoining panel. Each panel covers the surface between at least to of the arms; the panel-to-panel fastenings are in the form of hooks and loops or press studs, while the fastenings for attaching them to the arms are in the form of loops. The arms' inner ends are connected to a common hub that can be attached, for example, to a wall support. A variant can use an electric motor to deploy the arms to the required angle.

  CANVAS FOR EQUIPPING A DEVICE FOR PROTECTION AGAINST, IN PARTICULAR, SOLAR RADIATION AND DEVICE EQUIPPED WITH THE SAME.

  The invention relates to a fabric intended to equip a protective device against, in particular, solar radiation.

  It also relates to the device equipped with the said fabric.

  In order to protect oneself from the radiation of the sun, umbrellas are known which are in the form of a support or a central mast bearing radially needles or arms.

  The disc-shaped canvas is fixed over the needles.

  It is neither more nor less than a big umbrella.

  They are widely used by individuals because they are inexpensive but the surface area is relatively small, in particular because of the low stability of the mast.

  We also know, the blinds applied on a facade.

  The canvas is wound on a roll and a more or less complex mechanism allows the unwinding and winding.

  These blinds mainly equip the facades of shops.

  This one-piece fabric is generally rectangular with dimensions that can be large.

  In winter, the sunshade is sheltered but the blind stays on the front of the house.

  Indeed, the metal structure of the awning being relatively heavy, the blind is firmly anchored to the wall and even often partially embedded.

  Because of its permanent exposure to time, there is therefore a fairly rapid wear of the fabric and it is usually necessary to change it about every three years which is relatively expensive.

  The blinds used by the merchants can be used to carry advertising however because of their cost and the difficulty to make the assembly or the dismantling of the canvas, these traders do not change the canvas as often as they wish.

  We also deplore the impossibility of deploying a blind on angles of ninety or two hundred and seventy degrees.

  The invention proposes to provide a solution to the problems mentioned above.

  For this purpose, the subject of the invention is a fabric intended to equip a protection device against, in particular, solar radiation, this fabric then being fixed on a radially extending carrier structure when it is deployed, this fabric being characterized in that: it consists of several pieces intended to be juxtaposed and that each piece comprises, on the one hand, connecting means with at least one other piece and, on the other hand, fastening means with the supporting structure.

  The invention also relates to the protective device equipped with a fabric according to the invention.

  The invention will be better understood with the aid of the following description given by way of non-limiting example with reference to the drawing which schematically shows below FIG. 1: top view of a protective device extending out of 90.

  Referring to the drawing, we see a device 1 for protection against the sun or rain.

  This protection device 1 comprises a structure formed in particular of 2 radial arms.

  The end of these radial arms is movable in a horizontal plane.

  This protection device 1 carries a fabric 3 which, when the device is deployed, extends on the surface determined by the two extreme radial arms.

  According to the invention, this fabric 3 is characterized in that it consists of several pieces 3A intended to be juxtaposed and that each piece 3A comprises, on the one hand, connection means 20 with at least one other piece and on the other hand, fastening means 30 with the carrier structure.

  2860255 3 Each piece 3A is therefore in the form of a sector.

  The sectors are not necessarily of the same size.

  The choice of the shape of the sector will also depend on the length of the arms which will not necessarily be of the same length in order to create original covering surfaces.

  This sector 3A can cover the surface between two consecutive radial arms or between several radial arms.

  The means 20 for connecting a piece 3A with another piece 3A may consist of a male / female fastening system such as loops and hooks or snaps.

  The attachment means 30 on the arms of the supporting structure are also male / female coupling systems.

  FIG. 5 shows a press-fit connection between the pieces 3A and a strap fastening between a piece 3A and the arm.

  A particularly interesting solution results from the use of loops 6 through which are mounted the radial arms 2.

  The canvas therefore comprises passers 6 along each of the side edges adjacent to another piece 3A.

  Indeed, the loops 6 serve to fix the canvas on the radial arm and the radial arm establishes the connection between the passers 6 of the piece on the right and the passers 6 of the piece on the left.

  Passers-by will therefore be arranged in staggered rows.

  As has been said before, the arms are movable about a vertical axis.

  The arms can be mounted on separate parallel axes but preferably the arms are mounted on a common axis 7.

  The ends of the arms move in directions parallel to the plane orthogonal to the common axis (7) that is to say, fold laterally.

  In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, this common axis 7 is mounted on a support 8 intended, for example, to be fixed on a wall or possibly on a mast.

  In the embodiment, intended for fixing on a wall, the support 8 comprises a plate 9 bearing against a wall, this plate 9 has on its front a 2860255 4 housing 10 of vertical axis for receiving a finger 11 vertical on which are fixed indirectly the radial arms.

  The radial arms are secured to a bearing part.

  This solution makes it easy to disassemble the arms and thus to store the device 5 in winter or bad weather, especially since the structure is simple and relatively light.

  The radial arms are thus carried by a support 8 intended to be fixed on a wall.

  This support 8 is small in size in that a platinum can be reduced to dimensions of the order of ten centimeters by ten centimeters.

  Obviously the size will depend on the size of the radial arms.

  Locking means (not shown) will lock the carrier on the platen.

  Locking means of the two end arms are provided to keep these arms apart.

  For example, the end of the end arm can be hung on a wall or the proximal end of said arm carries a hooking means with the plate. For example the arm to lock carries a tab to be hooked by a hook or bolt that carries the plate.

  This tab can also be used for the handling of arms.

  In an alternative embodiment not shown, the protective device is motorized.

  For this purpose, for example, an electric motor drives a gear train that moves one of the end arms.

  The axis of the motor drives a gear on which the gear wheel cooperates a pinion 25 satellite connected to an extreme arm.

  It is also possible to provide at the free ends of the arms, anchor points to support them by means of poles.

  As shown in the various figures, the angle formed between the two spaced apart radial arms may be 90 or 180 or 270 or a different intermediate angle.

  For example, starting from a device initially equipped with a cloth covering an angle of 270, it is simple to change a piece of the fabric 3 to obtain an angle of 250.

Canvas intended to equip a device (1) for protection comprising a structure formed in particular of radial arms (2), this fabric (3) being characterized in that: - it consists of several pieces (3A) intended to be juxtaposed and - each piece (3A) comprises, on the one hand, means (20) for connecting with at least one other piece and, secondly, means (30) for fixing with the carrier structure.   2. Canvas according to claim 1 characterized in that each piece (3A) covers the surface between at least two arms (2) radial.   3 canvas according to claim 1 characterized in that the means (20) for connecting a piece (3A) with another piece (3A) consists of a male / female hooking system such loops and hooks or snaps .   4.Toile according to claim 1 characterized in that the means (30) for attachment to the arms of the carrier structure are male / female coupling systems.   5. Protection device according to claim 7 or 8 characterized in that the radial arms are carried by a support (8) intended to be fixed on a wall.   10. Protective device according to claim 9 characterized in that the support (8) comprises a plate (9) bearing against a wall, the plate (9) has on its front face a housing (10) of vertical axis intended to receive a finger (11) vertical on which are fixed indirectly the radial arms.
