Abstract

The corner fitting has a square shape and comprises two perpendicular webs (22,23) each comprising complementary coupling means (28,29) able to engage returns edging the mouth of a T-shaped groove made in the rabbet of the woodwork. The complementary coupling means of at least one of the webs are defined, on each of the web lateral sides, by two distinct coupling edges located at different distances relative to the web upper external face enabling the engagement and clipping in he groove in a direction perpendicular to the groove.

  The invention relates to an immobilization lock for a door or window leaf comprising, in rebate, a T-groove for the reception of fittings, said lock, in the form of a square so as to take position 5 on the angle between a cross member and an upright of said leaf, comprising, on the one hand, a wing defining a housing for the housing, in a sliding manner and against the action of elastic return means in projecting position, of a locking bolt and, on the other hand, a perpendicular fixing wing. The present invention relates to the field of fittings for carpentry and relates, in particular, to an immobilization lock for any door or window leaf.

  This invention will find a very particular, but not exclusive, application to leaves, so-called semi-fixed of 15 doors or windows with two leaves opening to the French and devoid of central mullion.

  In this regard, it will be recalled that at the time of closing such a door or window, one of its leaves, said to be semi-fixed, is provided capable of coming to fold first on the sleeping frame, 20 insofar as the 'other leaf, called service, has its front amount covering the corresponding front amount of this semi-fixed leaf.

  Thus, the opening of such a door or window takes place under the control of a locking fitting, of the type cremone bolt, cremone bolt or the like, generally fitted to the front upright of the service leaf. Also, to prevent, when ordering the unlocking of this fitting and the opening of this service leaf, that the semi-fixed leaf in turn systematically opens, it is associated with an immobilization lock which can be automatic or manual.

  It will be specified, once again, that this convenience may be desired at the level of a leaf of any door or window.

  Thus, a lock is known comprising a rod mounted at the rear of a headrest and which, under the impulse of a manual control, can have its free end projecting relative, as the case may be, to the upper end or lower of the front upright corresponding to such a leaf for accommodating itself in a keeper arranged in correspondence on the cross-member, respectively, upper or lower of the frame.

  A reverse command makes it possible, on the contrary, to cause the almost total erasure of this rod at the rear of said headrest and, finally, its disengagement from the corresponding keeper 10 to ensure the opening of this leaf.

  In fact, this type of immobilization lock can also be provided with a blocking bolt subjected to elastic return means in projecting position at the end of a housing provided capable of being brought into rebate of the amount before a leaf, in particular of the semi-fixed type. In this projecting position, the head of this locking bolt extends beyond the end, as the case may be, upper or lower, of this front upright to cooperate with a keeper arranged in correspondence on the sleeping frame.

  If the bolt recoil control can be performed manually, it usually results from the beveled shape of its head which, when closing the semi-fixed leaf and under the impulse of the strike on the frame, generates the erasure of this bolt, therefore its retreat into the housing. Once the keeper has been crossed and when the bolt head is in line with the corresponding opening in the keeper, it is automatically pushed back by said elastic return means generating the immobilization of this leaf relative to the sleeping frame.

  In fact, such an immobilization lock is housed, usually, in a recess groove that comprises, in rebate, this leaf. Its fixing is ensured by means of screws provided capable of being accommodated in the thickness of the joinery.

  In some cases, this immobilization lock can take the form of a square so as to be inscribed in the rebate in the angle between a cross, upper or lower, and the front amount of the leaf.

  Under these conditions, this lock comprises a first wing defining a housing for housing the locking bolt and 5 provided capable of extending, usually, along and at the upper or lower end of the front upright corresponding to the leaf. The other wing, extending perpendicular to the previous one, comes to be positioned in the cross rabbet and contributes to a better fixing of the lock. More particularly, this fixing wing usually comprises at least one opening for the passage of a fixing screw intended, here again, to be housed in the thickness of the joinery.

  In this regard, insofar as it is usual for a leaf 15 for a door or window to have a rebate and over its entire periphery a recess groove provided for housing and / or fixing fittings, the aforementioned fixing wing, also comes to be housed, usually, in this groove which the rebate comprises the upper cross member 20 or, as the case may be, the lower of this leaf.

  If, for the moment, we are not only trying to standardize the parts making up a fitting for carpentry and to facilitate the very design of these parts, we are also trying to make the operations necessary for their assembly easier and their editing.

  In this context, we particularly want to limit the number of operations, and therefore the time that should be allocated to them.

  Nevertheless, screw fixing has been considered to respond, in the context of the application of this invention, to very specific constraints in this field.

  In this regard, as part of a first inventive step, we reconsidered the primary function of the immobilization lock.

  Thus, as has already been explained above, the essential function of this lock is to keep the leaf closed after the manipulation of the locking fitting which is associated with it or with which an adjacent leaf can be fitted, for example a service leaf.

  Furthermore, it has been found that numerous joineries, in particular doors or windows designed from metal or plastic profiles, include, in rebate, T-shaped grooves comprising a bottom and side walls which are provided, substantially at their free end, with returns bordering their mouth.

  It is therefore in the context of a second inventive step that it was imagined to take advantage of these returns forming hooking edges to ensure a resistant connection of an immobilization lock at such a carpentry .

  In fact, by choosing, moreover, a square shape, for this lock we have imagined taking advantage of the hooking edges of the T-grooves extending in two perpendicular directions.

  To this end, the invention relates to an immobilization latch 20 for a door or window leaf comprising, in rebate, a T-groove for the reception of fittings, said latch, in the form of a square, capable of take position on the angle between a cross member and an upright of said leaf, comprising, on the one hand, a wing defining a housing for the housing, slidingly and against the action of elastic return means in projecting position, d 'a blocking bolt and, on the other hand, a perpendicular fixing wing, characterized in that each of said wings comprises complementary hooking means defined 30 capable of cooperating with hooking returns bordering the mouth of a T-groove, at least the complementary attachment means of one of these wings being capable of cooperating with these attachment returns by engagement and clipping in the corresponding T-groove 35 in a direction direction frankly perpendicular to the latter.

  According to another feature of the present invention, the locking bolt comprises a bolt tail capable of sliding axially in the housing and comprising defined anchoring means able to cooperate with suitable stop means in said housing to oppose when the locking bolt is released from the latter under the action of said elastic return means, these means for anchoring said bolt tail and / or the means abutted in said housing being provided retractable, in particular resiliently, to allow the engagement 10 of said locking bolt in this housing.

  According to another feature of the invention, the elastic return means of the locking bolt in the projecting position are defined by a spring interposed between the tail of said bolt and the bottom of the housing.

  According to another embodiment, the elastic return means are integrated into the tail of the locking bolt and result from the manufacturing process by molding the latter.

  Finally, as is apparent from the above description, the advantages which arise from the immobilization lock 20 according to the invention, consist in that its mounting on a joinery is made easier. In addition, being made up of a minimum of parts, or even only two, it is also very easy to assemble. Indeed, for this it is sufficient to simply engage the locking bolt in the housing 25 defining one of the wings of the immobilization lock For its mounting on a joinery, it suffices to perform a simple operation of clipping or d 'Slidingly insert one of the wings into the corresponding T-groove in the rebate of the leaf concerned, while the other wing comes, it clips into such a T-groove extending perpendicular to the previous one.

  Other objects and advantages of the present invention will emerge during the description which follows, relating to an exemplary embodiment given by way of non-limiting indication.

  The understanding of this description will be facilitated by referring to the attached drawing in which: - Figure 1 is a schematic representation of a window with two leaves opening to the French; - Figure 2 is a schematic perspective view of the immobilization lock according to the invention; - Figure 3 is a schematic representation in longitudinal section of the locking bolt and the housing accommodating the latter, the bolt being, here, illustrated in 10 projecting position in which it is pushed by return spring; FIG. 4 is a view similar to FIG. 3, the bolt being pushed back into its erased position for crossing the keeper arranged in correspondence on the sleeping frame; - Figure 5 is a schematic and partial representation of a leaf on which is mounted an immobilization lock according to the invention; - Figure 6 is a partial schematic representation of a door leaf or window closed on its dormant frame, the immobilization bolt, through its locking bolt, coming to cooperate with a keeper that includes, in correspondence, this frame sleeping; - Figure 7 is a schematic representation similar to Figure 3, the tail of the locking bolt incorporating, here, the elastic return means in the projecting position.

  In the following description, reference will be made to the figures of the accompanying drawings.

  As can be seen in these figures, the present invention relates to an immobilization lock 1 for door, window or similar leaves.

  In the following description and in the drawings, particular mention is made of a lock 1, according to the invention, applied to a semi-fixed leaf 2 corresponding to a door, window or the like 3 comprising at least two leaves 2, 4 without central mullion. However, as has already been explained above, the present invention is in no way limited to such an application. In particular, this immobilization lock 1 can be fitted to any type of leaf which it may be desired that, without voluntary intervention, it can remain closed on its sleeping frame, even after unlocking the locking fitting which equips it directly or not .

  Thus, in such a configuration of a door or window with 10 two leaves 2, 4 without central mullion, coming to close on the sleeping frame 5, the front upright 6 of the sash 4, called service, comes to overlap the corresponding front upright 7 of said semi-fixed leaf 2, already closed on this sleeping frame 5.

  The locking of this window 3 is usually obtained through a locking fitting 8, such as a cremone bolt, locking bolt or the like, equipping the front upright 6 of the service leaf 4.

  Specifically, to prevent, when the unlocking and opening command of this service leaf 4 that the semi-fixed leaf 2 opens, in turn, automatically, use is made of the immobilization lock 1.

  This adopts a square shape to equip, in rebate, this semi-fixed leaf 2, in the upper 9 or lower 10 angle that defines the upper cross member 11 or lower 12 with the front upright 7.

  It further comprises a blocking bolt 13 subjected to elastic return means 14 in the projecting position 15 in which the head 16 of this blocking bolt 13 is projecting at the upper or lower end of said upright 30 before 7 for come to cooperate with a keeper 17 located in correspondence on the upper cross member 18 or lower 19 of the frame 5.

  Thus, this immobilization lock 1 comprises a first wing in the form of a housing 20 for housing, in a sliding manner and against the action of said elastic return means 14, of the locking bolt 8. At the end 21 of this wing 20, with respect to which the head 16 of this locking bolt 13 is able to project itself, extends, perpendicularly, a fixing wing 22.

  If the wing 20 comes, usually, to be in rabbet 5 along the front upright 7 of the semi-fixed leaf 2, the fixing wing 22 is provided capable of cooperating in rabbet with the crosspiece, as the case may be, upper 18 and lower 19.

  In fact, these wings 20, 22 of the immobilization lock 1 are defined to take position in T-shaped grooves 23 10 which this semi-fixed leaf 2 comprises, in rebate.

  Such a T-shaped groove 23 is delimited by a bottom 24, extending perpendicular to the plane of the joinery, and by side walls 25, 26 carrying, substantially at their free end, returns 27, 28 bordering the mouth 29 of 15 this groove 23.

  According to the invention, each of the wings 20, 22 of this immobilization lock 1 comprises complementary attachment means, respectively, 30, 31 defined capable of cooperating with the attachment means that constitute the returns 27, 28 d 'such a T-groove 23.

  At least the additional attachment means 30, 31 corresponding to one of these wings 20, 22 are defined capable of cooperating with these returns 27, 28 of a groove 23 by engagement and clipping in the latter, in a direction perpendicular to the axis of it.

  In the illustrated embodiments, only the fixing wing 22 is thus equipped with such additional attachment means 31 capable of cooperating by clipping with a T-groove 23, the other wing 20 having, as means 30 additional attachment 30, a section adapted to that of such a T-groove 23, so as to be engaged from one end of the latter.

  In fact, this wing 20 has on its lateral sides 32, 33, parallel to the lateral walls 25, 26 of such a T-shaped groove 35 23, hooking edges 34 defined capable of extending under the returns 27, 28 , on the inner side to the groove 23, so as to prevent this wing 20 from being extracted perpendicular to the axis of the latter.

  According to a preferred embodiment, these hooking flanges 34 are constituted, substantially, by a longitudinal groove 36 formed on these lateral sides 32, 33 of the wing 20 and designed capable of receiving, by sliding, one of the returns 27 , 28.

  Insofar as the T-shaped groove of a cross member 11, 12 constitutes at the upper or lower end of the upright 10 before 7, the extension of the rebate of the latter, in the angle 9, 10, between this cross member upper 11 or, as the case may be, lower 12 and said front upright 7, the returns 27, 28 include an interruption to allow axial engagement in the corresponding groove 23 of the wing 15 20 in the form of a housing.

  Note, again, that to facilitate this engagement the grooves 36 on the lateral sides 32, 33, of this wing 20 have a flared mouth 37.

  As for the complementary fastening means 31 of the fixing wing 20, they are defined, on the lateral sides 38, 39 of the latter, in the form of at least one tongue 40 comprising a fastening edge 41 which, during insertion into the T-groove 23, is elastically erased by the passage of a return 27, 28 for, at the end of engagement, extend 25 under the latter forming a step.

  Said tongue 40 is tapered at its free end 42 so as to facilitate, precisely, the insertion of the corresponding wing 22 into the T-groove 23.

  Insofar as the depth of such a T-shaped groove 23 is liable to vary and / or the distance of the returns 27, 28 relative to the rebate plane 43 may vary according to the manufacturers of joinery, on the lateral sides 38 , 39 of such a wing 22 may be formed several separate tabs 40, 40A, 40B each having a flange 35 for hooking 41, 41A, 41B capable of being located at a different distance from the upper external face 44 of this wing 22.

  Thus, as a function of the depth of engagement in a groove 23, the hooking flange 41, 41A, 41B corresponding to one and / or the other of these tabs 40, 40A, 40B is inserted in forming a step under a return 27, 28 of this groove 23 preventing the immobilization lock 1 from being extracted from the latter.

  In a complementary manner, one and / or the other of these 10 wings 20, 22, in this case more particularly that 22 comprising additional attachment means 31 acting by clipping, can be crossed by an opening 45 of passage of a fixing screw.

  According to another particular feature of the invention, the blocking bolt 13 comprises a bolt tail 46 capable of sliding axially in the housing 47 defined by the wing 20. In fact, this bolt tail 46 comprises means of anchoring 48 defined capable of cooperating with stop means 49 suitable in said housing 47 to oppose the release of this locking bolt 20 13 under the action of elastic return means 14. These anchoring means 48 and / or the stop means 49 are also retractable, in particular resiliently, to authorize the engagement of said locking bolt 13 in this housing 47.

  Very particularly and as visible in FIGS. 3, 4 and 7, the bolt tail 46 has a section substantially adjusted to the housing 50 defined axially in the housing 47. Furthermore, between the free end 51 of this bolt tail 46 and the bottom 52 of this housing 50, at the opposite end of the latter relative to which is capable of being projecting from said blocking bolt 13, the elastic return means 14 are interposed, for example under shape of a helical spring as visible in FIGS. 3 and 4. In this regard as visible in FIG. 7, these elastic return means 14 can advantageously be integrated into this tail 46 of the locking bolt 13, in particular through the synthetic molding manufacturing process of the latter. In fact, in its end portion this bolt tail 46 can be molded in the form of a spring.

  To return to the anchoring means 48, they consist, according to an exemplary embodiment, of at least one tongue 53 5 extending at the periphery of the bolt tail 46 parallel to the axis 54 of the latter. This elastically foldable tongue 53 has an end 55 forming a step.

  As for the stop means 49, they consist of a step 56 formed at the level of the internal wall 57 of the housing 50, this in correspondence with the tongue 53.

  Thus, after engagement of the locking bolt 13 in this housing 50 of the housing 47 and, more particularly, after crossing the step 56 by the tongue 53, the step-shaped end 55 is pushed elastically back from the back of this step 56 so as to oppose the release of the locking bolt 13. Note that the elastic return means 14 are prestressed between the bolt tail 46 and the bottom 52 of the housing 50.

  In the illustrated embodiment, two tongues 53, 20 provided with a step-shaped end 55, act in opposition on either side of the bolt tail 46, so as to cooperate with recesses 56 formed on the sides corresponding to the internal wall 57 of the housing 50.

  It should be noted that, in the spirit of the present invention, the anchoring means 48, associated with the bolt tail 46, can borrow a corresponding embodiment described above with regard to the stop means 49 in the box 47 and vice versa.

  According to another feature of the invention, the housing 30 47 may comprise, in combination, at least one opening 70 giving access, for example by means of a tool such as a screwdriver, as the case may be, to said anchoring means 48 and / or to the stop means 49 for pushing them back into an inactive position and authorizing the disassembly of the locking bolt 13 relative to the housing 47. This or these openings 70, are provided, in the embodiment illustrated in the figures of the drawings attached, at the bottom 52 of the housing 50. They thus allow a screwdriver to access the tongues 53 so, by pushing them elastically, to release their end forming a step relative to the recesses 56.

  As can be seen in the various figures, the wing 22 of this immobilization lock 1 comprises, at its end 21 relative to which the head 16 of the locking bolt 13 is able to be projecting, a support base 58 provided capable of being applied on the rebate plane 43 corresponding to 10 the cross member, as the case may be, upper 11 or lower 12 of the semi-fixed leaf 2.

  Advantageously, this support base 58 has at least its edge 59, oriented in the direction of the fixed frame 5, chamfered so as to be able to act, over its thickness, as a lifting wedge, this in correspondence with the keeper 17 provided at the level of this sleeping frame 5.

  It should also be noted that a housing 47 corresponding to a wing 20, necessarily adjusted to the section of a T-groove 23, can accommodate, in a sliding manner, only a locking bolt 13 of limited section 60.

  To compensate for this reduced section, the head 16 of this blocking bolt 13 has, on its bevelled side 62 opposite the keeper 17, an extension tab 63 of width 64 at most equal to the thickness 65 of the wall 66 of the housing 47. Furthermore, the support base 58 comprises, in line with this extension tab 63, a cutout 67 extending in said wall 66 of the housing 47 so as to allow the head 16 of the locking bolt 13 to fade into it.

  This feature of the invention allows, when the locking bolt 30 is returned to its projecting position, to oppose the keeper 17, despite a significant length 69 of its head 16, a side 62 which is bevelled over its entire length, that is to say from the top of this head 16 to the base 58, thus ensuring the operation of this immobilization lock 35, even after a slight sagging of the semi-fixed leaf 2 relative to its sleeping frame 5.

  In summary, the invention allows locking and unlocking absorbing the variations in rebates of the cross members inherent both to the fatigue of the frames and to construction imperfections.

  Insofar as the immobilization lock is designed symmetrical with respect to a transverse median plane 68, to allow its reversibility and its application to a leaf opening as much to the left as to the right, the head 16 of the locking bolt 13 has, in opposition, two bevelled sides 62, 10 62A, each provided with an extension tab 63, 63A.

  Although the invention has been described with reference to a particular embodiment, it is understood that it is in no way limited thereto and that it is possible to make various modifications to the forms, materials and combinations of these. 15 various elements without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention.
