Abstract

The ashtray is composed of a cylinder (1) on the base of which four legs (4) are fixed. Each leg has an articulation (5) allowing it to be folded. When the cover (6) is pulled up the legs, until then held against the cylinder, unfold and can be embedded in the sand.

Description

The present invention relates to a device for inserting a

ashtray

  in the sand and prevent the ashes and butts from flying away.

  Traditionally, an ashtray has a flat bottom and is just placed on a

  flat surface; it also does not have a cover.

  The device according to the invention overcomes these drawbacks. In fact, according to a first characteristic, it has 4 folding legs against the body of the ashtray which allow it to be planted in the sand. These 4 feet provide perfect stability to the ashtray. Once folded against the body of the ashtray, the 4 legs are held, according to a second characteristic, thanks to a spherical cover with a diameter slightly greater than the diameter of the ashtray itself. However, the presence of feet is not essential if the cylinder protrudes a few centimeters below

the bottom.

  The cylinder of the ashtray body has two notches

  to hold two cigarettes.

  All parts of the ashtray, including feet and lid, are made of a material resistant to the combustion of several cigarettes, which guarantees the greatest

user safety.

  With reference to these drawings, the device comprises a cylinder (1), provided with a bottom (2); this cylinder (1), the upper part of which is provided with two notches (3) having the

dimensions of a cigarette.

  The bottom of the cylinder (2) supports 4 feet (4), each fitted with a

  articulation (5) which allows them to be folded and unfolded at will.

  The length of the feet (4) is such that it allows perfect stability at

  ashtray once inserted in the sand.

  Fig. 2 represents the cover (6) of the ashtray (fig. 1), a cylinder with a diameter allowing it to be inserted on the cylinder (1) which forms the body of the ashtray + the thickness of the 4

feet.

  Fig. 3 shows, in section, the device of the invention, with the two parts, cylinder (1) and cover (6) together. The 4 feet are folded, task facilitated by the

  presence of a joint (5), and held by the cover.

  joint (5), glued against the bottom (2).
