A LA LOCOMOTION DE PERSONNES La présente invention concerne une attache pour béquilles et autres instruments d'aide à la locomotion de personnes.
En raison de la configuration de sa partie supérieure, une béquille isolée ne peut que difficilement être posée en équilibre contre un appui (mur, table, chaise ou autres). L'utilisateur doit s'y prendre à plusieurs reprises pour finalement voir malgré tout ses béquilles échouer par terre, ce qui provoque souvent son irritation, sans compter la gêne que cela peut causer, voire un danger pour d'autres personnes qui circulent aux alentours immédiats. En outre, il est souvent malaisé pour la personne invalide ou peu valide de récupérer ses béquilles lorsqu'elles sont par terre.
L'invention a pour but d'apporter une solution au problème évoqué ci-avant et à cet effet elle propose une attache pour béquilles ou autres instruments d'aide à la locomotion de personnes, comprenant un corps constitué d'au moins deux éléments articulés autour d'un pivot commun et un moyen pour bloquer l'articulation précitée, l'extrémité libre de chaque élément du corps précité étant munie d'une pince agencée pour recevoir et maintenir chacune un instrument d'aide à la locomotion.

Grâce à ce dispositif suivant l'invention les deux béquilles ou instruments de locomotion peuvent être maintenus ensemble et être posés de manière stable contre un appui quelconque. De plus, le dispositif proposé peut rester attaché à une béquille pendant son utilisation sans gêner en rien l'utilisateur, tout en restant toujours immédiatement disponible pour l'assemblage des béquilles.
Deux exemples de mode de réalisation sont décrits dans ce qui suit à l'aide des dessins joints.
La figure 1 est une vue en perspective d'un premier mode de réalisation du dispositif d'attache, en état étendu.
La figure 2 montre le dispositif de la figure 1 en état replié.
La figure 3 représente une paire de béquilles assemblées à l'aide d'un dispositif suivant la figure 1.
La figure 4 représente une béquille avec une attache suivant l'invention dans l'état montré en figure 2.
La figure 5 illustre l'articulation du dispositif dans un deuxième mode de réalisation suivant l'invention.
Comme le montre la figure 1, l'attache suivant l'invention comprend un corps 10 constitué de deux éléments 11 et 12 articulés autour d'un pivot commmun 13 et un manchon de blocage 14. L'extrémité libre de l'élément 11 est munie d'une pince 16 ayant une

certaine élasticité pour recevoir et enserrer une béquille ; l'extrémité libre de l'élément 12 est munie d'une pince 18 ayant une certaine élasticité pour recevoir et enserrer une seconde béquille ainsi que le montre la figure 3.
Sur la figure 2 on voit que le corps 10 peut être rendu plus compact après avoir fait coulisser le manchon de blocage 14 le long du corps et en faisant pivoter un élément du corps par rapport à l'autre autour du pivot 13.
Lorsqu'un utilisateur récupère les béquilles assemblées comme montré à la figure 3 afin de se déplacer, il lui suffit de dégager la béquille 22 de la pince 18 qui la retient et de faire pivoter l'élément 12 du corps autour du pivot 13, l'attache restant attachée à la béquille 21 comme le montre la figure 4. L'utilisateur peut alors se déplacer à l'aide de ses deux béquilles sans être le moins du monde gêné par l'attache repliée. En ceci, la compacité du dispositif d'attache en position repliée est favorisée par le fait qu'un des éléments du corps (l'élément 11 sur les dessins) est plus court que l'autre.
Pour poser ses béquilles, l'utilisateur redresse simplement l'élément 12 du corps, fait glisser le manchon de blocage 14 sur l'articulation pour rendre l'ensemble rigide, et engage la béquille 22 dans la pince 18.

à la locomotion de personnes autres que des béquilles, par exemple des cannes, bâtons de ski, etc.
La figure 5 illustre un deuxième mode de réalisation du dispositif suivant l'invention. Dans cet exemple, le dispositif diffère de celui de la figure 1 par le moyen de blocage de l'articulation qui est constitué d'un dispositif à ressort 15 dans lequel se trouve logé l'axe pivot 13. Un tel mécanisme de blocage est connu en soi. Le blocage des éléments 11 et 12 en position étendue se fait automatiquement par l'action d'un ressort logé dans le dispositif 15. Une simple pression sur le bouton 17 du dispositif 15 débloque l'assemblage des éléments 11 et 12 pour leur permettre de pivoter l'un par rapport à l'autre autour du pivot commun 13.
Il est bien entendu que les modes d'exécution décrits ci-avant ne sont que deux exemples nullement limitatifs et que des modifications peuvent y être apportées. C'est ainsi, par exemple, que les pinces peuvent être pourvues de moyens de réglage permettant d'adapter l'ouverture et le serrage des pinces au diamètre des béquilles ou instruments à assembler.

Thanks to this device according to the invention, the two crutches or locomotion instruments can be held together and be placed stably against any support. In addition, the proposed device can remain attached to a crutch during its use without disturbing the user in any way, while always remaining immediately available for the assembly of crutches.
Two exemplary embodiments are described in the following with the aid of the accompanying drawings.

As shown in FIG. 1, the fastener according to the invention comprises a body 10 consisting of two elements 11 and 12 articulated around a common pivot 13 and a locking sleeve 14. The free end of the element 11 is provided with a clamp 16 having a

certain elasticity to receive and grip a crutch; the free end of the element 12 is provided with a clamp 18 having a certain elasticity to receive and grip a second stand as shown in FIG. 3.
In FIG. 2 it can be seen that the body 10 can be made more compact after sliding the locking sleeve 14 along the body and by pivoting one element of the body relative to the other around the pivot 13.
When a user retrieves the crutches assembled as shown in Figure 3 in order to move, he just has to release the crutch 22 from the clamp 18 which retains it and rotate the element 12 of the body around the pivot 13, 'remaining fastener attached to the stand 21 as shown in Figure 4. The user can then move using his two crutches without being in the least bothered by the folded fastener. In this, the compactness of the fastening device in the folded position is favored by the fact that one of the elements of the body (element 11 in the drawings) is shorter than the other.
To place his crutches, the user simply straightens the element 12 of the body, slides the locking sleeve 14 on the articulation to make the assembly rigid, and engages the crutch 22 in the clamp 18.

for the locomotion of people other than crutches, for example canes, ski poles, etc.
FIG. 5 illustrates a second embodiment of the device according to the invention. In this example, the device differs from that of FIG. 1 by the articulation locking means which consists of a spring device 15 in which the pivot axis 13 is housed. Such a locking mechanism is known in itself. The elements 11 and 12 are locked in the extended position automatically by the action of a spring housed in the device 15. A simple press on the button 17 of the device 15 unlocks the assembly of the elements 11 and 12 to enable them to pivot relative to each other around common pivot 13.
It is understood that the embodiments described above are only two examples which are in no way limitative and that modifications may be made to them. Thus, for example, the clamps can be provided with adjustment means making it possible to adapt the opening and tightening of the clamps to the diameter of the crutches or instruments to be assembled.
