This awning 1 is constituted by a box 4 of marquise, a frontal section 5 attached to this canopy box 4 using articulated arms or the like not shown in the figures, and by a roll-up awning fabric 6, applied between the awning box 4 and the frontal section 5.

By the term anti-slip material is meant in this case a material which has a high coefficient of friction so that a relative movement of the awning fabric 6 with respect to the band 15 is subjected to maximum resistance.

An anti-slip material of this type may be for example synthetic rubber.

In addition, the side walls 8 and 9 are each provided with a number of fixing flanges 16 which are fixed by means of a flexible connection 17 such as for example a strap or the like near the upper edges 11 side walls 8-9, the shape of the fastening flanges 16 and the length of the flexible connection 17 being selected so that the fastening flanges 16 can be easily applied over the aforementioned tube 13 with the loop 12 which there is applied and over the side edge 14 with the band 15, a loss of the clamps 16 being excluded.

When an even stronger attachment of the side walls 8-9 to the awning 1 is required, it is possible, as shown in FIG. 2, to apply over each fastening flange -16 an additional U-shaped flange 22, a screw being provided through one of the side walls of this flange, so that detachment of the side walls 8-9 is prevented at any time.

It is clear that in this way a fixing is obtained between the canopy 1 and the side walls 8 9 which is not only very strong and durable, but can also be quickly fixed and detached without degrading the canopy fabric 6 and / or the side walls 8-9.

Where, in the embodiment according to FIG. 2, the strips 15 are fixed permanently to the canopy fabric 6, for example by sewing, gluing or the like, the strips 15 are provided in the loose state in the form of embodiment according to Figure 4.
