DISPOSITIF POUR LA FIXATION SUR UNE BROSSE A MANCHE D'UN TORCHON ET
TORCHON UTILISE A CETTE FIN.
Il est d'usage d'utiliser un torchon avec l'aide d'une brosse à manche, notamment dans le but de rendre cet usage plus confortable et moins fatiguant. A cet effet, le torchon est placé d'une telle manière qu'il enve- loppe la brosse. Il est néanmoins bien connu que ce modus faciendi offre l'inconvénient de devoir très fréquemment replacer le torchon lequel a une tendance permanente de se séparer de la brosse. Il en résulte que cette pra- tique est généralement désagréable et limite sensiblement l'efficacité du nettoyage.
L'invention a pour objet un dispositif extrêmement simple favori- sant la solidarisation du torchon et de tout élément analogue sur une bros- se, une traverse, une raclette ou tout autre élément analogue fixé en bout d'un manche. Ce dispositif est tel que le torchon, tout en étant solidarisé à la brosse, se présente néanmoins dans la forme, l'aspect et la qualité des torchons usuels placés suivant la manière traditionnelle.
Le dispositif, objet de l'invention, permet, une ibis le torchon placé, de l'utiliser d'une manière absolument continue, en y appliquant tous les efforts nécessaires et en le déplaçant dans tous les sens, sans qu'il en résulte une séparation avec son support fixé en bout du manche.
Ce dispositif consiste essentiellement en la combinaison d'un an- neau d'un diamètre légèrement supérieur à celui du manche, et d'un dispositif d'agrafage fixé au torchon sur le bord opposé à celui qui prend appui sur le- dit anneau. L'invention s'étend également aux torchons et articles similaires, dont un bord est conditionné pour pouvoir prendre appui sur un élément annu- laire et dont le bord opposé présente, à ses deux bouts, un moyen d'agrafage.
Pour mieux faire comprendre les caractéristiques de l'invention, une forme d'exécution est décrite en détail ci-après, en se référant aux des- sins annexés, dans lesquels :

la figure 1 représente un type d'anneau utilisé dans le disposi- tif de 1-*invention; la figure 2 est une variante d'anneau; la figure 3 représente le torchon montée conformément à l'inven- tion; la figure 4 montre le torchon, objet de la figure 3, mais en po- sition déployée; la figure 5 représente le torchon fixé sur une brosse à manche; les figures 6 à 11 schématisent les opérations successives pour l'emploi du dispositif objet de l'invention.
L'élément annulaire 1 présente un diamètre intérieur plus grand que le diamètre du manche. Cet élément annulaire peut être circulaire ou pré- senter toute autre forme régulière ou non et ses deux bouts 2 et 1 sont pré- férablement repliés sur eux mêmes vers l'intérieur de l'anneau. Comme repré- senté à la figure 1, la section droite de l'anneau peut être circulaire ou bien, comme représentée à la figure 2, elle peut être rectangulaire ou de tou- te autre forme d'ailleurs.
Conformément à l'invention, le torchon proprement dit 4 présente, le long de son bord supérieur, un ourlet 5, dont la grandeur est telle qu'il permet le passage de l'anneau 1. Les deux extrémités du bord opposé 6 du tor- chon présentent un dispositif d'agrafage formé par exemple, d'un crochet et d'un anneau $. Comme représenté aux figures 3 et 4, normalement, le tor- chon est, par son bord supérieur 5, fixé sur l'anneau 1. Ce torchon se pré- sente alors comme représenté aux figures 3 et 4. Pour fixer le torchon ain- si conditionné sur une brosse à manche, par exemple, comme représenté à la figure 5, on pratique de la manière indiquée aux figures 6 à 11.
A cet ef- fet, l'anneau 1¯ est traversé par le manche 2. de la brosse 10 et vient repo- ser au pied dudit manche. Le torchon est alors déployé, comme représenté aux figures 6 et 7, de manière à prendre normalement sur l'un des bords de la brosse 10. Le bord libre 6 est alors relevé, de manière à passer sous la brosse 10 et à amener ainsi ledit bord au-dessus de la brosse, comme repré- senté à la figure 8, le crochet 1 se trouvant d'un c8té dudit manche 2. et le crochet $ se trouvant, symétriquement, de l'autre côté dudit manche.
Il suffit alors, comme représenté à la figure 10, de croiser le torchon, de ma- nière à fairepasser le crochet 7 et l'anneau dans une position opposée, en entourant le pied du manche 2. et de ramener les deux bouts libres 11. 12 torchon autour du manche ensolidarisant le crochet 7. à l'anneau 8. Cette succession d'opérations est extrêmement facile et rapide et, comme on le remarque plus spécialement à la figure 5, la brosse se trouve complètement enveloppée par le torchon, mais sans aucune raideur, à la manière de la pra- tique traditionnelle, mais avec, en plus, l'assurance que le torchon se main- tiendra dans cette position pendant toute l'opération du nettoyage. Ce n'est que par un geste volontaire que le torchon pourra être séparé de la brosse.
Il va de soi que les différents éléments décrits peuvent présen- ter des variantes de forme, de matière et de dimensions infiniment nombreu- ses. Toutes ces variantes sont couvertes par la présente invention. De plus, l'anneau pourrait être réalisé par une simple barre en une matière malléa- ble, laquelle pourrait être déformée au moment de placement du torchon sur la brosse, afin d'être solidarisé au pied du manche. On pourrait également donner au torchon toute forme mieux appropriée et, si nécessaire compléter le dispositif décrit par tous accessoires généralement quelconques. L'in- vention s'étend au dispositif dans son ensemble, ainsi qu'à chacune de ses parties expressément destinées à ce dispositif.

It is customary to use a cloth with the help of a brush with a handle, in particular in order to make this use more comfortable and less tiring. For this purpose, the cloth is placed in such a way that it envelops the brush. It is nevertheless well known that this modus faciendi has the drawback of having to replace the cloth very frequently, which has a permanent tendency to separate from the brush. As a result, this practice is generally unpleasant and significantly limits the effectiveness of cleaning.
The object of the invention is an extremely simple device favoring the joining of the cloth and any similar element on a brush, a cross member, a squeegee or any other similar element fixed at the end of a handle. This device is such that the cloth, while being secured to the brush, nevertheless presents itself in the form, appearance and quality of the usual cloths placed in the traditional manner.
The device, object of the invention, allows, once the cloth is placed, to use it in an absolutely continuous manner, by applying all the necessary efforts and by moving it in all directions, without resulting a separation with its support fixed at the end of the handle.
This device consists essentially of the combination of a ring with a diameter slightly greater than that of the handle, and of a stapling device fixed to the cloth on the edge opposite to that which bears on said ring. The invention also extends to tea towels and similar articles, one edge of which is conditioned to be able to bear on an annular element and the opposite edge of which has, at its two ends, a stapling means.
To better understand the characteristics of the invention, one embodiment is described in detail below, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which:

The annular element 1 has an internal diameter greater than the diameter of the handle. This annular element may be circular or have any other regular or irregular shape and its two ends 2 and 1 are preferably folded back on themselves towards the inside of the ring. As shown in Figure 1, the cross section of the ring may be circular or, as shown in Figure 2, it may be rectangular or of any other shape for that matter.
According to the invention, the actual cloth 4 has, along its upper edge, a hem 5, the size of which is such as to allow the passage of the ring 1. The two ends of the opposite edge 6 of the torch - chon present a stapling device formed, for example, of a hook and a ring $. As shown in Figures 3 and 4, normally, the cloth is, by its upper edge 5, fixed on the ring 1. This cloth is then presented as shown in Figures 3 and 4. To fix the cloth as well. if packaged on a brush with a handle, for example, as shown in Figure 5, it is practiced as shown in Figures 6 to 11.
To this end, the ring 1¯ is crossed by the handle 2 of the brush 10 and rests at the foot of said handle. The cloth is then deployed, as shown in Figures 6 and 7, so as to take normally on one of the edges of the brush 10. The free edge 6 is then raised, so as to pass under the brush 10 and thus bring said edge above the brush, as shown in FIG. 8, the hook 1 being on one side of said handle 2. and the hook $ lying, symmetrically, on the other side of said handle.
It is then sufficient, as shown in FIG. 10, to cross the cloth, so as to pass the hook 7 and the ring in an opposite position, surrounding the foot of the handle 2. and bring back the two free ends 11 12 cloth around the handle securing the hook 7. to the ring 8. This succession of operations is extremely easy and fast and, as can be seen more specifically in FIG. 5, the brush is completely enveloped by the cloth, but without any stiffness, in the manner of traditional practice, but with, in addition, the assurance that the cloth will remain in this position during the entire cleaning operation. It is only by a voluntary gesture that the cloth can be separated from the brush.
It goes without saying that the various elements described may have infinitely many variations in shape, material and dimensions. All of these variations are covered by the present invention. In addition, the ring could be made by a simple bar of a malleable material, which could be deformed when the cloth is placed on the brush, so as to be secured to the foot of the handle. The cloth could also be given any more suitable shape and, if necessary, supplement the device described by any generally unspecified accessories. The invention extends to the device as a whole, as well as to each of its parts expressly intended for this device.
