Abstract

The invention relates to an adhesive label formed by a sheet (2) the reverse of which is covered by an adhesive layer (4) protected by a protector (3) formed by a lightly adhering protective sheet. According to the invention, the sheet (2) and the protector (3) both have at least one closed cutout or pre-cutout line (5; 7) over the whole thickness thereof, the inner cutout region (8) of the protector which is bounded by the cutout line (7) of the said protector being larger and superimposed on the inner cutout region (6) of the sheet which is bounded by the cutout line (5) of the said sheet in such a way that, by separating the sheet (2) and its protector (4), the inner cutout region (8) of the protector remains bonded to the adhesive reverse of the sheet and is detached from the rest of the protector, the region (6') outside the said cutout line (5) of the sheet constituting a main label, while the inner cutout region (6) of the said sheet constitutes a secondary label detachable from the main label after application and sticking of the latter onto the support intended to receive it.

Description

 Adhesive label provided with at least one secondary label for later use.

 The invention relates to an adhesive label provided with at least one secondary label for later use.

 I1 appeared quite interesting for many applications, to be able to use at least a portion of adhesive label after affixing it on the support intended to receive it.

 This is why the inventor has imagined an adhesive label formed from a sheet, the back of which is covered with an adhesive layer protected by a protector formed by a weakly adherent protective sheet which is remarkable in that the sheet and the protector each have at least one closed cutting or precut line over its entire thickness, the cut interior area of the protector which is delimited by the cut line of said protector being larger and superimposed on the cut interior area of the sheet which is delimited by the cutting line of the said sheet in such a way that by performing the separation of the sheet and its protector, the interior cut area of the protector remains stuck to the adhesive back of the sheet and detaches from the rest of the protector, the area outside said line for cutting the sheet constituting a main label, while the inside cut area of said sheet constitutes a secondary label detachable from the main label after application and bonding thereof on the support intended to receive it.

 It is then understood that each secondary label can thus be used later.

 The applications of such a label are quite multiple.

 For example in stock management, the main label can be affixed to the package and the secondary label (s) can then be affixed to an order or stock renewal register.

 In application to a waybill, the main label is intended for the package and a secondary label can be intended for the delivery note.

Many other applications are possible, among which, without limitation, we can cite:
- pharmaceutical analysis (main label affixed to the
analysis request and secondary labels on
results);
- planning (main label indicating an order or
other and secondary labels informing of the follow-up:
course, completed, etc);
- control sheet (main label affixed to the object
to be checked and the secondary labels on a
control during operations);
- complaint or order renewal form (label
main quette affixed to a support and labels
secondary claims or new vouchers
ordered);
- inventory (main label affixed to the product and
secondary labels on the inventory statement);
- sale and trade in general (main label affixed
on the delivery parcel and secondary labels intended
born to reference the product being the subject of the package,
etc.).

 According to one embodiment, the cutting lines of the sheet and of the protector are made near an edge on which the ends of said lines terminate, said edge participating in the continuity of said cutting lines.

 It is clear that a label can comprise several cut out zones intended to form as many secondary labels.

 In addition, for example, the cut-out interior areas of the sheet have a different color from the exterior area forming the main label.

 Also, for example, each interior zone cut out from the sheet has at least one small notch intended to facilitate the removal of the secondary label formed by said zone.

 According to a particular embodiment, the external zone of the sheet with respect to the cut-out internal zones is reduced to an outline of said internal zones so as to be able to be affixed on a support to constitute a reserve of secondary labels.

 Generally, the labels according to the invention are in the form of boards or strips manufactured continuously, which each consist of a sheet or a support strip formed by a poorly adherent protector on which is applied a sheet or strip of adhesive paper provided with cutting or precut lines intended to delimit several labels, each of them having cutting or precut lines to form a main label and at least one secondary label, while the support protector also comprises cutting lines or precut for at least each secondary label.

The invention will be clearly understood on reading the description which follows and which refers to the appended drawings in which:

 In FIGS. 1 and 2, one can see a label 1 according to the invention consisting of a sheet of paper hereinafter called front 2, of a protector 3 formed of a sheet coated with a non-stick, based on example of silicone, while between the front 2 and the protector 3, there is provided a layer of adhesive shown schematically in 4 by small circles.

 We understand that this is a complex formed of a front 2 whose back is coated with adhesive 4, which is protected by a protector 3.

 We can clearly see in the drawings that the front 2 is cut by a cutting line 5 in a U, the ends of the branches of which terminate on an edge and which thus determines a cut interior zone 6.

 The protector, for its part, is also provided with a U-shaped cutting line 7 which determines a cut-out interior area 8 which entirely covers the area 6, the cutting line 7 being provided a little more towards the outside than the line 5 .

 The outer zone 6 'of the front 2, relative to the cutting line 5 constitutes a primary adhesive label and the abovementioned inner zone 6, a secondary adhesive label.

 In Figure 3, there is shown a sheet of adhesive labels 1a to 1h separated by cutting or precut lines 9 and 10a to 10f formed on at least the sheet forming the front of each label. I1 could be a strip for continuous manufacturing (possibly with lateral drive margins).

 In FIG. 3, the front of the labels formed from a cut sheet II is applied to a support sheet III constituting the protector, the latter not in this case necessarily being precut between each label 1a to 1h.

 The sheet II and the protector III are on the other hand provided for each label, with the cutting lines described above so as to produce main labels and secondary labels.

 The use is now easy to understand.

 By separating the front 2 of the protector 3, the zone 8 of the latter will remain glued to the back of the front 2, and will detach from the rest of the protector, as shown more particularly in FIG. 3, with the label 1h where the we referenced the 8h zone.

 The assembly thus separated from the protector (with the exception therefore of zone 8) can then be applied to any support, as mentioned at the beginning, by virtue of the adhesive coating on the back of the front 2.

 Once the label has been applied to the support intended to receive it, the zone 6 forming a secondary label (see zone 6g of the label îg in FIG. 3) can be easily separated later, since it is still applied to the part inner 8 (see 8g of Figure 3) of the protector, which is retained by its peripheral part, while leaving the area 6 '(6'g of Figure 3) constitute, as already said, the main label.

 Then, said seocndaire label can be affixed, as mentioned above, its back being adhesive.

 Many variations are planned.

 It is obviously not compulsory that the cutting lines 5 and 7 come up to an edge and it could of course be closed lines.

 Several secondary labels can be provided per main label, this being able to be further reduced to a simple surrounding of said secondary labels.

 A notch such as 11 shown diagrammatically in dotted lines in FIG. 1 can be provided to facilitate the detachment of each secondary label, a different color may be provided for the secondary labels, etc.

Claims (8)

 1) Adhesive label formed by a sheet (2), the back of which is covered with an adhesive layer (4) protected by a protector (3) formed by a slightly adherent protective sheet, characterized in that the sheet (2) and the protector (3) each have at least one closed cutting or precut line (5; 7), the inner cut area (8) of the protector which is delimited by the cutting line (7) of said protector being larger and superimposed on the inner cut area (6) of the sheet which is delimited by the cutting line ( 5) of said sheet in such a way that, when the sheet (2) and its protector (4) are separated, the cut-out interior zone (8) of the protector remains stuck to the adhesive back of the sheet and is detached from the rest of the protector, the outer zone (6 ') to said cutting line (5) of the sheet constituting a main label, while the inner cut zone (6) of said sheet constitutes a secondary label detachable from the main label after the application and bonding thereof on the support intended to receive it.  2) Label according to claim 1, characterized in that the cutting lines (5; 7) of the sheet (2) and the protector (4) are made near an edge on which the ends of said lines terminate, said edge participating in the continuity of said cutting lines.  3) Label according to one of claims 1 and 2, characterized in that it comprises several cut areas (6; 8) intended to form as many secondary labels.  4) Label according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the cut out interior areas (6) of the sheet (2) have a different color from the outside area (6 ') forming the main label.  5) Label according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that each cut interior area (6) of the sheet has at least one small notch (11) intended to facilitate the removal of the secondary label formed by said zoned.  6) Label according to one of claims I to 5, characterized in that the outer zone (6 ') of the sheet with respect to the cut-out interior zones (6) is reduced to an entourage of said interior zones so that it can be affixed on a support to constitute a reserve of secondary labels.  7) label sheet according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that it is constituted by a support sheet (III) formed by a little adherent protector on which is applied a sheet of adhesive paper (II) provided cutting or precut lines (9, 10a to 10g) intended to delimit several labels (la to lh), each of them having cutting or precut lines to form a main label and at least one secondary label, while the support protector (III) also comprises cutting or precut lines for at least each secondary label.  8) strip of labels continuously manufactured according to one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that it is constituted by a support strip formed by a little adherent protector on which is applied a strip of adhesive paper provided with lines of cut or precut intended to delimit several labels, each of them having cut or precut lines to form a main label and at least one secondary label, while the support protector also includes cut or precut lines for at least each secondary label.
