  As is apparent from the foregoing, the invention brings a great improvement to the existing technique by providing a device having an excellent quality of finish, great strength, allowing a perfect alignment of the bucket with the whale that is engaged in it , while allowing a quick mounting on the canvas of the parasol, and accepting variable whale diameters within a certain range, account

Device for mounting a whale end on a cloth article such as a parasol, of the type comprising a piece (7) in the form of a cup fixed on the cloth (8) and whose opening faces the free end of the whale (5) to allow the engagement of the latter, characterized in that the bucket (7) is made of synthetic material and is associated with a web of fabric (12) which is integral therewith and extending longitudinally thereof, this band (12) serving for securing by sewing on the canvas article (8).   2 Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the fabric strip (12) is fixed on the fabric article (8), by the seam serving to   the assembly of two parts thereof.   3. Device according to any one of claims 1 and 2,   characterized in that the web (12) is secured to the bucket (7)   by inclusion in one of the walls thereof, during its molding.   4. Device according to any one of claims 1 to 3,   characterized in that the bucket (7) has a cavity (8) whose section   crosswise decreases from its opening (9) towards its bottom (10).   5. Device according to any one of claims 1 to 4,   characterized in that the bucket (7) has annular ribs (14) projecting from its inner face and having a profiled face (15) facing the open side (9) of the bucket and a face (16) perpendicular to the bucket axis   of the bucket, turned on the side of the bottom (10) thereof.
