Abstract

The steering assembly for a cycle comprises handlebars (4) and means for connecting these handlebars to the fork (3), the assembly consisting of a support (7) located in front of the steering bush (2). This support (7) is secured to the handlebar stem (9), at its top, and, at its bottom, to a bayonet-shaped fastening foot (11) anchored on the means for fastening the braking system (12). The support (7) is in the form of a tube and includes, on the front, slots allowing vertical adjustment of the position of the handlebars. This steering assembly particularly makes it possible to fit cowhorn-type competition handlebars onto conventional bicycle frames.
