Abstract

Each of the building blocks 1 of this set has two channels extending parallel to its outer face 2 forming a cornice. The channel 3 adjacent to this face is capable of constituting a gutter for receiving rainwater flowing from the roof. As for the other channel 4, it is intended to serve as permanent formwork for the realization of a horizontal chaining 5 in reinforced concrete at the upper part of the corresponding wall. In addition to such building blocks, of standard type, blocks of similar shape are provided, the channel of which, intended for the production of a gutter, comprises an orifice for connecting a downpipe for rainwater. Thus the present building blocks make it possible to produce, at the top of a wall, at the same time: a cornice, a gutter and a horizontal connecting chain.

Description

Set of building blocks for the realization of a cornice

  The subject of the present invention is a set of building blocks intended to be joined one after another for the production of a cornice at the end of a wall.

  Such a cornice is obviously intended for

  shelter the siding of a wall against rainwater.

  However, in addition to this one, it is necessary to provide, at this same place, a gutter intended to collect the rainwater flowing from the roof. Furthermore, in most cases it is necessary to produce at this location a horizontal chaining to ensure the cohesion of the corresponding wall. At present, these various elements or equipment are produced independently, which causes the cost price of

constructions thus realized.

  This is why the present invention aims to simplify the operations necessary for the realization of the various elements and equipment to be provided for the

upper part of a wall.

  To this end, the invention relates to a set of building blocks characterized in that these blocks, made of concrete or any other suitable material, each have two channels extending parallel to their outer face forming a cornice, and whose one, next to this face, is likely to form a gutter receiving rainwater flowing from the roof, while the other is intended to serve as a formwork lost for the realization of a horizontal chaining

  reinforced concrete at the top of the corresponding wall.

  Thus the use of such a building block makes it possible to considerably simplify the operations to

  realize at the top of a wall.

  However, the different advantages and peculiarities of the building blocks according to the invention

  will appear in the following description of a

  exemplary embodiment and application of such blocks.

  appended for information purposes only, and in which: FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a building block according to the invention; FIG. 2 is a view, partly in section and partly in perspective, of a set of such blocks assembled at the

upper part of a wall.

  One of the lateral faces of this block, in this case its face 2, which is intended to be placed outwards, has protruding moldings and other reliefs,

  similar to those of a normal cornice.

  Block 1 has the particularity of having two channels 3 and 4 which extend parallel to its outer face 2. Channel 3, which is adjacent to it, is intended to allow the realization of a gutter during the meeting of a series of such blocks 1 one after the other

  In addition to the standard blocks 1, as described above, there are provided blocks of the particular type which are intended to be arranged at the ends of a series of blocks 1. These blocks have a shape similar to that of the blocks. 1 and like these they comprise two parallel channels 3 and 4. The only difference of these blocks with respect to the blocks 1 lies in the fact that a flow orifice 7 is provided in the bottom of the channel 3 intended for the realization a gutter. This port is designed to connect the upper end of a pipe 8

  downflow (see Figure 4).

  As shown in Figure 2, the blocks 1 are intended to be assembled one after the other above a wall 9 building. Their assembly is realized

  by conventional joints or any other suitable means.

  After this assembly, a sealing strip 10 is attached to the inside of the channel formed by the channels 3 of the different plates 1. This may consist of a strip of bituminous material and its

  fixation can be performed by cold gluing.

  The realization of the concrete chaining 5 inside the channels 4 presents no particular difficulty. Indeed after assembling the blocks 1 one after the other, their channels 4 constitute a continuous formwork which is particularly well suited to the realization of such chaining. After these operations, the roof 11 of the building can be mounted in place by placing the lower ends of chevrons 12 of the latter bearing on the

  above the chaining 5 as shown in FIG.

  Under these conditions, the lower edge of the roof 11 is disposed just above the channel formed by the channels 3 of the different blocks 1. This is therefore able to collect rainwater flowing from this

roof.

  As is easily understood, the use of building blocks according to the invention considerably increases the operations to be performed at the upper part of a wall to equip it with both a gutter and a cornice , and to achieve a horizontal chaining to ensure the cohesion of the corresponding wall. In addition, these building blocks allow a significant saving since the use of these removes a number of elements that were previously necessary. This results in a reduction

  the cost price of a building.

  Naturally, the building blocks according to the invention are not limited to those represented merely by way of example in the accompanying drawings. Thus the shape of the reliefs of the cornice face could be modified. Likewise, the shape of the section of channels 3 and 4 could be different. Finally, it should be noted that the building blocks according to the inventin are advantageously made in such dimensions that they can be handled easily and that their

  weight is not too important for this one.

Set of building blocks intended to be joined one after the other for the production of a cornice at the upper part of a building wall, characterized in that these blocks (1), made of concrete or any other suitable material, each have two channels extending parallel to their outer face (2) forming a cornice, and one (3) adjacent to this face, is likely to form a rainwater reception gutter s from the roof, while the other (4) is intended to serve as lost formwork for the realization of a horizontal linkage (5) of reinforced concrete to the upper part of the wall corundondant. 2. Set of building blocks according to claim 1, characterized in that in addition to blocks (1) of standard type, there are provided blocks (la) of similar shape including the channel (3) for the realization a gutter, has a hole (7) for connection   a pipe (8) for lowering rainwater.
