Abstract

The present invention relates to a device forming a pedestal for supporting a lifting column. It consists of a housing 1, and a lifting column 3 sliding on a column 2 fixed to the housing 1 and actuated by a device 4. Said housing 1 comprises arms 5 buried in concrete 10. This concrete 10 is poured into the shell 9 which acts as a receptacle forming a mould and constitutes the visible part of the pedestal.

Description

 The present invention relates to a device intended to constitute a stable base for receiving a lifting column capable of supporting the table top or any other part of furniture or equipment intended for the medical, veterinary or other activity sector.

 The bases are traditionally made up of molded parts, or even welds, or with several feet.

The stability of these bases is not always perfect, especially when they support a table via a lifting column. The heaviest parts of the base are not always placed on the periphery.

 The device according to the invention overcomes these drawbacks. I1 in fact comprises a box which includes arms placed outside which extend towards the inner periphery of the base formed for its visible part by a plastic shell or any other material, forming a mold for receiving a mass of reinforced concrete concrete or not between the box forming the core and the said shell. Which arms or other elements located on the outer periphery of the housing being embedded in this mass of concrete distributed over the inner periphery of the base which ensures optimum stability of said base.  The box integrated in the base has the advantage of receiving and protecting an electro mechanical assembly located very close to the ground which ensures the ascent and descent of a lifting column placed above the case which allows to obtain a height of even less work from the ground in minimum stroke position.

 The ends of said arms or other elements embedded in the concrete may include threaded bases to receive adjustable feet in order to facilitate the leveling of the assembly.

 The visible part of the base being constituted by a metallic or plastic shell forming a mold to receive the concrete flow introduced between its periphery and the casing forming - core when the assembly of these two elements has been overturned. Likewise, the shell may include inserts or an edge at the periphery directed towards the housing in order to constitute a more homogeneous whole with the said housing, the arms of which are embedded in the concrete.

 t is a preferred embodiment the arms consist of four flat bars welded field or fixed by any other method of assembly to each corner of the housing.

According to a first variant, the arms consist of two flat bars folded at an angle constituting a trapezoid welded or fixed by any other method of assembly to each corner of the case.

 According to a second variant, the arms can be replaced by elements constituted by flats on the field constituted by a Tee welded or fixed by any other method of assembly on the opposite sides of the walls of the box.

 According to a third variant, the arms consist of a single piece which is in the form of an openwork and scalloped sheet fixed to the lower periphery of the case.

 The device shown in FIGURE 1 comprises a box 1, the dimensions of which can vary according to the control device 4 for raising and lowering the lifting column 2 fixed on top of said box 1.

Which control device 4 is fixed inside the box 1 which can be constituted by an electro-mechanical worm screw system shown in FIGURE 1, the lower part of which is constituted by a clevis 14 assembled on a crosspiece 15 which can be dismantled and secured to the box 1 by the fixing means 16, or by a hydraulic or electric jack or any mechanism making it possible to ensure the ascent and descent of a lifting column. One or more arms or other elements 5 are fixed to the housing 1 and may comprise at each end of the bases 6 which can receive adjustable bases or rollers 7. The column 2 is fixed to the housing 1 by means of edges or projections , the shell 9 made of metal or plastic is pinched between the lower part of the column 2 and the top of the case 1.

 Said shell 9 constituting the visible part of the base can have a decorative effect and constitutes a mold for receiving a mass of concrete 10, reinforced or not, which will serve as peripheral ballast and in which the arms or other elements 5 will be embedded. To ensure a perfect connection without this being imperative, metal inserts 11 integral with the shell 9 can be put in place and an edge 12 produced as well as holes 13 in the arms 5.

 The device according to the invention is particularly intended to constitute a base for receiving a lifting column which can support the table top or any other part of furniture or equipment.

Claims (5)

 1. Device intended to constitute a stable base for receiving a lifting column capable of supporting the table top or any other part of furniture or equipment, characterized in that it comprises a box 1 comprising on the outer periphery one or more arms or elements 5 embedded in a mass of reinforced or unreinforced concrete 10 or any other similar material which arms 5 extending to the inner periphery of a base formed for the visible part by a shell 9 forming a mold for receiving a concrete pour 10 which will serve as ballast and a homogeneous connection with the box 1 forming a core.  2. Device according to claim 1 characterized in que.le box 1 receives and protects an electro-mechanical hydraulic or pneumatic assembly 4 which ensures the rise and fall of a lifting column 3 sliding on a column 2 fixed in the upper part of the box 1.  3. Device according to claim l or claim 2 characterized in that the housing 1 serves as a support for receiving a column 2 fixed to the housing 1 by projections 8. Said column 2 now pinching the upper part of the shell 9 on box 1.  4. Apparatus according to any of the aforementioned claims, characterized in that the ends of the arms or elements 5 comprise bases 6 intended to receive adjustable feet or retractable or non-retractable casters 7.  5. Device according to any one of the above-mentioned claims, characterized in that the shell 9 forming a mold may be more integral with the case 1 forming a core by the addition of metal inserts 11, edge 12 or holes 13 in the arms or elements 5 .
