Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to a device making it possible to stabilize and preserve over time, while allowing for conveniences and facilities of transport, of samples of an aromatic essence in particular of a set or mixture of essences constituting a perfume recipe. preferably on alcoholic baste.

The invention aims to allow the preservation over time and distribution in space in large quantities of samples of a mixture of aromatic essences constituting a commercially exploited perfume and thus capable of being presented to potential users that is -to consumers and commercial services, sales networks, distributors and even prescribers.

The presentation of perfume samples for information or advertising purposes poses specific problems in the context of the marketing and promotion of this type of product.

It is in fact understood that the perfume is in essence a fleeting, fleeting product capable of being apprehended by the senses in a limited time interval, beyond which evaporation and diffusion into the ambient atmosphere no longer allows '' find its specificity and characteristics.

However, to be appreciated by the user or his entourage, the perfume must necessarily be perceived directly in its entirety and in its purity, which make its authenticity.

This means that the choice of a perfume cannot be made as for other products from a description, an image, a representation.

Commercial distribution of the product therefore presupposes that samples of this product can be distributed and disseminated very widely in order to allow a large number of people to know the specific characteristics of the product, to appreciate it and possibly to make it the choice.

However, the distribution of a large number of samples, an aromatic essence or a mixture of essences by definition extremely volatile poses specific problems.

Small doses are known in the form of very small format bottles which are mounted on a cardboard support and capable of being distributed; but this packaging remains fragile and liable to be destroyed by breaking the glass constituting the wall of the bottle; in addition it represents a three-dimensional volume which, despite its reduced thickness, does not facilitate or even prohibit mailings by mail or convenient distribution in association with another product, for example a volume, a magazine, etc.

We have sought to remedy this difficulty, in particular in the case of essences or mixture of essences associated with a support such as a magazine or a review, by integrating the mixture with olfactory properties, such as a perfume, into a base. also constituting an adhesive, the mixture consisting of the adhesive base to which the essential product is integrated being applied to a shutter for example bound or stapled in a magazine or magazine submitted for sale and the shutter (constituting for example a marginal fold of one page) being folded against the main page to which it adheres by the play of the adhesive; under these conditions the adhesive base containing the incorporated essence is trapped between the fold and the main page; it is possible for the user on receipt of the document or review comprising this device, to manually take off the flap, thereby releasing the essential product likely to be perceived by smell.

This fairly complex implementation requires a delicate dosage between the adhesive product and the scented essence.

Furthermore, it is difficult to find a completely neutral adhesive which is not susceptible to reactions either with the perfumed essence or with the paper constituting the material support of the assembly; it is also necessary that the adhesive be exactly dosed so as to cause a sufficient joining of the shutter and the main page (by avoiding a premature diffusion of the scented essence), without being excessive because in this case the user seeking releasing the flap from the page or the counter-sheet would risk tearing the whole without obtaining the desired result.

We also know in professional circles a support which is commonly used to apprehend in a reserve, for example in a bottle, a very limited amount of scented essences or mixtures of essences in order to allow the perception at the level of smell these means consist of strips of strong paper or cardboard, one end of which is held in the hand by the user, while the opposite end can be slightly dipped in the supply of scented gasoline in the liquid state for taking a small amount but sufficient to allow the subject to perceive the mixture.

Such tabs, commonly called wipers, constitute a convenient and traditional instrument to allow professionals in particular to monitor over time the evolution of a mixture of essences representing a composition being prepared.

However, this means does not allow the preservation of the perfume because the essence evaporates in a few minutes, even a few seconds and disappears.

The use of such tabs of paper or "wipes" would however be particularly advantageous since it is recognized that the paper constitutes an appropriate and completely neutral support, that is to say that does not risk interfering and distorting the balance and the harmony of the composition.

This perception thus makes it possible to grasp the mixture of essences in all its purity without any interference, when the perfume must be judged with total objectivity and independently of any reaction with the context, as is the case for example when the person who tries a perfume receives a light application on the skin; in the latter case if the test can be useful for the user seeking to choose a perfume according to their personal dermal reactions, this assessment does not allow a perfectly objective understanding of the intrinsic properties of the perfume like eela seems desirable in particular in the case of a distribution within the framework of a commercial or advertising presentation.

It is therefore desirable to have a means allowing the conservation and stabilization over time of a scented essence in limited quantity and corresponding to a dose sufficient to assess the properties and specific characteristics of the mixture, while obtaining possibilities and stable storage over time and transport without, however, using containers containing the product in the liquid state according to currently known techniques.

The invention makes it possible to remedy these drawbacks and realizes a device constituting a support for the preservation of perfume and its distribution which combines the properties of great ease of production and use, in particular with regard to the possibilities of transport, great simplicity and economy of means in the manufacturing and finally perfect fidelity as to the stabilization of the properties of the perfume.

To this end, the invention relates to a device for packaging, preserving over time, transporting samples of essences or mixture of scented essences in the liquid state under conditions ensuring the stability of the olfactory properties of the essences, and the device is characterized in that it consists of a support with absorbent properties and neutral with respect to the essential product, such as a strip of paper or cardboard, said support being inserted in an airtight envelope consisting of a sachet whose walls welded together consist of a complex of a layer of synthetic material and a metal sheet.

Preferably, the support with absorbent properties consists of a cardboard strip of the "wet" type and known per se.

According to another characteristic, the sachet is of generally rectangular longiform shape and it comprises two sheets welded by their four edges and enclosing between them said cardboard tongue.

According to another characteristic, the walls of the bag are formed from a complex of a sheet of heat-sealable plastic material and an aluminum sheet, the aluminum being oriented towards the interior space of the bag, thus ensuring properties perfect hermetic insulation of the cardboard support prevented any loss of the essential product to the outside.

According to yet another characteristic, the sachet is welded along its marginal edges on three sides while on a fourth edge corresponding to a small side of the rectangle, the weld line is located at a certain distance from the edges, leaving free and separated the two walls forming lips to allow by manual traction on the two lips the tearing of this fourth seal and the opening of the bag during use to remove the "wet".

According to another characteristic, said bag-forming device is associated with a larger sheet and capable of constituting a cover letter or a postcard (in the context of distribution by post) or a page of a magazine in the case insertion of the device on a publication or journal.

Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will emerge from the description which follows and which is given in relation to an embodiment presented by way of nonlimiting example and with reference to the appended drawings.

Figure 1 shows a perspective view of the device of the invention in the closed state.

Figure 2 shows the bag constituting the device of the invention being opened and showing the support of the essential mixture.

Figure 3 shows the device after opening the bag and extracting the support of the essential product.

While Figure 4 shows a longitudinal sectional view of the device according to the invention.

According to all of the figures, it can be seen that the bag 1 is formed from the meeting of the two walls 3 and 3 'themselves formed from a complex comprising an inner sheet of aluminum oriented towards the interior space of the bag and an outer sheet of a heat-sealable synthetic material such as PVC.

The two walls 3 and 3 ′ are joined by the two longitudinal edges II and 4 ′ and by a small side forming a transverse edge 5 along weld lines which close on its three sides the interior space of the bag.

On the edge opposite the edge 5 the two sheets 3 and 3 'are joined by a weld line 6 located at certain distances from the edge so as to leave free the two lips 2 and 2' which yawn one relative to l- ' other.

As can be seen in the light of FIGS. 2 and 3, these two lips can be grasped manually by the user and by an opposite pull ensuring the separation of the weld line 6, the opening of the bag is thus obtained.

The latter internally contains a cardboard tab of the type known per se 7 and constituting a "wetting" which at the start was impregnated with a mixture of essences constituting the perfume thus presented.

The sachet being closed, the "wipe" containing absorbed in the mass of the material the aromatic essence, retains the product in the interior space of the sachet-thus closed by opposing any escape to the outside of the extremely volatile essential principles absorbed on the cardboard support 7.

Under these conditions, the device makes it possible to retain and store under particularly stable conditions and for an extended period of time the dose constituting a sample of the essential principles defining the perfume submitted for presentation and offered for testing.

And the sachet presented flat as shown in Figure 1 can be used and distributed in large numbers and under very convenient conditions since it constitutes a simple flat sheet without thickness.

This sachet can therefore be distributed by post, being for example associated with a cover letter, a postcard, just as it can be associated with any kind of object sold or distributed.

Under these conditions, the sachet containing the "wipe" in accordance with the invention can be stored distributed in very large numbers and this at a particularly advantageous cost price.

The user after opening the sachet can understand the objective properties of the perfume under conditions which are those used by professionals and therefore under conditions of perfect reliability.

The sachet will of course bear on one or its two outer walls, all the messages and indications suitable for ensuring the identification of the product and making it known, for example its brand, the name of the manufacturer, etc. as well as possibly the composition or commercial presentation so as to allow the user who has made the choice of the product to direct his purchase through the commercial network of professional distributors.

The sachet can be produced on automatic packaging lines from ribbons or sheets of a suitable complex fed continuously and welded longitudinally as well as at intervals on two transverse edges after introduction of the individual "wipes" and absorption on the latter of an amount (for example a drop) of perfume.

The quantity made available to users on each "gouillette" is minimal and therefore allows for a moderate cost to reach a very large number of users or potential customers.

A single small drop deposited on the cardboard support is sufficient to widely impregnate the support by diffusion in the mass of absorbent cellulose, this drop, preserved in leaktight manner, diffuses and restores all of its aromatic and olfactory properties in the atmosphere during from the opening of the bag.

Preferably the "wetting" is impregnated by its end 8 located on the side opposite to the opening side by the lips 2,2 '; thus the aromatic product is largely on this end 8; the "wipe" is thus captured by the user by its gripping end 9 which is not very rich in perfume, the end 8 which diffuses the perfumed vapors which can be presented near the olfactory perception organs.

The "mouillette" can have a format from 10 to 20 cm long, and from 5 to 10 mm wide. It can be in a cardboard "blotting" material identical to the laboratory "wetting". It will be impregnated with liquid over 30- to 50% of its length by its end 8 it is then housed in an aluminum type complex of dimensions - between 5 and 10 mm + wide - between 1 and 5 mm + long and forming the bag 1 This bag can be printed in full color.

The product thus defined can therefore be sent to the consumer by any kind of means - mailing, - magazines, - in a case, accompanying another product, - distributed in shops in the form of a presentation, for example: a spray of "mouillettes" in a vase.

The "wet" impregnated with a perfume A can also be impregnated with a perfume B and C combined in the form of a dotted plate.

Many other ideas can be developed; the minimum production quantities would be in the order of 100,000 to 200,000 products of each.

It is possible in the context of the invention to combine several sachets of two, three or more, the sachets constituting flaps each containing a "wet" impregnated with a different perfume and the flaps being detachable, one of the other, for example from a dotted line. The sachets thus combined make it possible to present a full range of assorted perfumes.

Claims (7)

1 - Device for packaging, preserving over time, transporting samples of essences or mixture of scented essences in the liquid state under conditions ensuring the stability of the olfactory properties of the essences, characterized in that it consists of a support with absorbent properties and neutral with respect to the essential product, such as a tab (7) of paper or cardboard, said support being inserted in a hermetic envelope consisting of a bag (1) whose walls ( 3.3 ') welded together consist of a complex of a layer of synthetic material and a sheet of metal. 2 - Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the support with absorbent properties is constituted; a strip of cardboard of the "wet" type and known per se. 3 - Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the bag (1) is of generally rectangular longiform shape and it comprises two sheets (3.3 ') welded by their four edges and enclosing between them said cardboard tab. 4 - Device according to one of claims 1,2 or 3, characterized in that the walls of the bag are formed from a complex of a sheet of a heat-sealable plastic material and an aluminum sheet, the aluminum being oriented towards the interior space of the sachet thus ensuring properties of perfect hermetic insulation of the cardboard support avoiding any loss of the essential product towards the outside. 5 - Device according to one of claims 1,2,3 or characterized in that the bag (1) is welded along its marginal edges (4,4 'and 5) on three sides while on a corresponding fourth edge at a small side of the rectangle, the weld line (6) is located at a certain distance from the edges, leaving free and separate the two walls forming lips (2,2 ') to allow by manual traction on the two lips tearing of this fourth seal (6) and the opening of the bag during use to remove the "wet". 6 - Device according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that it is associated with a larger sheet and capable of constituting a cover letter or a postcard (in the context of distribution by post ) or a page from a magazine in the case of insertion of the device on a publication or journal. 7 - Device according to one of claims 5 or 6, characterized in that the absorbent support (7) is impregnated on its end (8) opposite the end (9) located on the side of the opening of the bag (l ) by the two lips (2) and (2 ').
