Description

"An apparatus for adding a volatile substance in a smoking article and containing the smoking product • comprising such a device" The present invention relates to a device for adding a volatile substance in a smoking article. The present invention also relates to a product containing smoke comprising the device 1 of the invention. To change the flavor characteristics of the mainstream smoke of a cigarette, it has been proposed to circulate the smoke stream through one or more passage (s) flavored (s) usually disposed at the filter of a cigarette . These devices are expensive and do not allow the smoky limited choice of modifying its product. They. change only the mainstream smoke upon smoking of the product. European Patent EP 1154930 describes a method of packaging smoking articles, especially cigarette packs, in which a volatile flavoring is provided in the package and diffuses inside of it upon closing at its packaging. In this way, the aroma diffused in both the product and smoking inside the package from the time it is packaged, allowing, in addition to flavor cigarette smoke, to flavor the inside the package creating a sensation example of freshness on opening the package by the user. However, in this case the user does not control the dissemination of aromatic substance in the container as the fragrance and the taste of the smoking report directly to the product added by the manufacturer, the time between the package and the package its opening by the user. Thus, for two identical packages, the aromatic characteristics of the smoking contained in these packages can greatly deferred if they were not packed or opened on the same date. The fumeur- Nor has the choice of the nature of the volatile compound added to the smoking product. In this context, the invention is a device for changing the particular aromatic characteristics of a smoking product that overcomes the aforementioned drawbacks. For this purpose, the device of the invention is essentially characterized in that it comprises isolation means of at least one volatile modifying substance with the smoking product, a way to release 39a, 40a, 41a, 42a, 43a, 44a, 45a, 4βa of the volatile substance by action of the user to smoke and a product containment means to smoke with the volatile substance after the volatile substance has been released. In this way, it is the user who selects and activates the diffusion of the volatile substance according to his convenience. The volatile substance is selected depending on the desired effect. It may be compounds that modify the characteristics of the smoking product and its packaging. These compounds can advantageously be transferred to the mainstream smoke and / or secondary during the combustion of the product. This is for example only aromatic compounds or mixtures with volatile substances that can favorably modify other characteristics of smoke or smoking product that interact with components after their release by the smoker. Advantageously, the volatile substance of the isolating means is placed in the container of the smoking article at a hidden area to identify the presence of the aromatic substance in the package. According to a first aspect of the invention, the volatile substance is encapsulated in a waterproof casing which can be released by the user.

In this case, the impermeable envelope may be constituted by capsules containing the volatile substance and which can be broken by a manual mechanical action. Can then be provided that the capsules are contained in a varnish or a printing ink. As an alternative to encapsulation, the isolation means can be made of two superposed sheets hermetically containing the volatile substance, the two sheets forming a peelable system to permit their separation and the release of the volatile substance. In the latter case, it is expected that the active substance or to a part of the container. Advantageously, the active substance is arranged on a separate holder 16, 19, 24 of the container that can be inserted therein by the smoker after activation in said container. According to a second aspect of the invention, when the container is constituted of the product pack of smoking such as a packet of cigars or lid cigarette, the volatile substance isolation means is glue fixing the flap cover on the internal front face of the latter. Advantageously, the volatile substance is contained in capsules which may be broken by a mechanical action manue11e. According to an advantageous aspect of the invention, the isolation means comprises a plurality apparent and distinct zones for identifying the presence of at least one volatile substance in the package and allowing the user to release one or several different volatile substances and / or identical in activating the appropriate area of the isolation means .. Each zone can indicate the presence of a volatile substance of different characteristic. It can be provided as an alternative that several areas indicate the presence of the same volatile substances. The invention also relates to a product containing smoking article comprising the device according to any preceding claim. This container can be a cigarette or cigar holder, a tobacco pouch or pack of cigarettes or cigars in which smoking products are marketed. The invention will be better understood and other objects, advantages and features thereof will appear more clearly from reading the following description which is made with reference to the accompanying drawings which represent non-limiting embodiments of the device the invention and in which: - Figure 1 is a perspective view of three quarters of a cigarette packet having the device of the invention according to a first embodiment; Figures 2 and 3 show first and second variants of the device of the invention according to the first embodiment; - Figure 4 is a perspective view of three quarters of a cigarette packet having the device of the invention according to a second embodiment; - Figure 5 is a side view along arrow V of the cigarette package of Figure 4; - Figure 6 is an enlarged view of the portion VI of Figure 5; Figures 7 to 10 show first, second, third and fourth variants of a part of the device of the invention according to the second embodiment; and - Figure 11 shows in perspective a tobacco pouch having the device of the invention according to a third embodiment. Referring to Figure 1, a cigarette pack 1 hinged lid 2 has a pocket 3 consists of two side panels 4, 5, 6 of a front panel, a rear panel 7 and a bottom panel 8 which are mounted and folded when the package of the assembly process and also includes a reinforcement flange 9 fixed such that it protrudes from the latter. The lid 2 of the cigarette pack 1 comprises a front panel 10, two side panels 11, 12, a rear panel 13, top panel 14 and a flap 15 of the lid not shown in Figure 1 but which will be described more specifically with reference to figures 4 to 10. the package further comprises a usual manner an unillustrated inner lining which surrounds the group of cigarettes. The cigarette package 1 of Figure 1 comprises a basket 16 included in this pack one or introduced during its opening by the user and removably disposed preferably in direct contact with the cigarettes. The coupon 16 is in the form of a relatively rigid sheet-like example rectangular allowing its insertion in the package 1 and its removal from the package 1 by the user. This coupon can be inserted by the manufacturer in the package, between the unrepresented overwrap which is usually added to the packet or in any other place where it will be accessible to the smoker, for example in the group cartridge or sold separately. A face 17 of the coupon 16 has a zone 18 for example of rectangular shape and of slightly smaller area than the basket 16, said area being printed with a varnish which immobilizes impermeable capsules containing a volatile substance per aromatic example. This way, if the user wants to flavor cigarettes in the package 1 and the smoke obtained from these cigarettes, the coupon 16 is activated to secure the release of the volatile substance by manual mechanical action, for example by scraping, exerted by the user at the area 18 of the basket 16. the basket 16 is then placed in the package, the face 17 of the coupon 16, which comprises the flavoring substance, preferably being directed towards the cigarettes contained in the package 1 to allow the volatile material to diffuse into the cigarettes after the package has been closed. Coupon 16 shown on Figure 1 comprises a single rectangular area 18 on which the user exerted by scraping action may be total or partial in order to be able to modulate the flavor content, which diffuses into the package. If the user wants to limit the diffusion of the volatile substance in the package 1, the coupon 16 can be removed. The basket 19 shown in Figure 2 is of the same type described with reference to FIG 1 but has four exposed rectangular areas 20, 21, 22, 23 for example substantially the same surfaces and which each contain the same flavoring substance encapsulated and immobilized, in a varnish as described for the slip 16 in Figure 1. by this configuration, the user more exactly control the amount of volatile substance released and can modulate the strength of the aroma in the smoking product and the package cigarette choosing to activate one or more zones. This variant also offers the possibility to assign a flavor profile of a given number of cigarettes and to modify the products remaining in some other way. The basket 24 shown in Figure 3 also includes four exposed areas 25, 26, 27, 28 of substantially identical surfaces but each containing aromatics of different flavors. Each of the zones 25, 26, 27, 28 has a separate setting that allows the user to identify the aromatic substances contained in the zones 25, 26, 27, 28 of the basket 24. In this way, the user can select the aroma of the product smoking at his convenience. Of course, the coupon 16, 19, 24 containing the one or more flavoring substances may be in any geometric shape allowing its insertion into the cigarette packet. According to the adopted form, the coupon can be disposed as shown in Figure 1 but also between the cigarettes or n 'anywhere else in the package allowing the diffusion of the aromatic substance in smoking products when the package is closed. According to the invention, zones 5, 8 to 11, from 13 to 16 can be printed in a printing ink containing the flavor capsules. It is also possible to provide capsules having adsorbed or absorbed the aromatic substance allowing the release of the volatile substance by manual mechanical action exerted on these capsules, such as by crushing. The isolation means to the volatile substance may be a coupon as described above or be constituted by the upper part accessible by the smoker when opening the package. The volatiles were then released and protected by the same means as described in the independent coupon. Referring to Figure 4, the insulation of the invention means is provided at the flap 15 of the lid 2 of the cigarette pack 1. Referring to Figures 5 and 6, it is constituted by the bead of adhesive 29 which establishing a first face 30 of the flap 15 on the inner face 31 of front panel 10 of the lid 2 and contains a volatile flavoring substance. Referring to Figures 6 and 7, the aromatic substance is contained hermetically in capsules immobilized in the adhesive bead 29. By squeezing action exerted on the face 33 of the flap 15, the capsules containing the aromatic substance are broken and the liberated volatile substance diffuses through the flap 15 and the inward fold of the cigarette pack 1 for flavoring smoking products. The face 33 of the flap 15 may comprise one or more distinct zones 34, 35, 36, 37, 38 for identifying the presence of one or more substance (s) aromatic (s) in the adhesive bead 29 under the flap 15 at the one or more area (s) correspond (s). The device shown in Figure 7 comprises a single rectangular area 34 of dimensions slightly smaller than that of the flap 15. A manual crushing exerted on all or part of the box 34 frees all or part of the volatile substance contained in the encapsulated and adhesive bead 29. in the device shown in Figure 8, four different aromatic substances are successively and regularly distributed over the length of the glue bead 29. the face 33 of the flap 15 has in this case four exposed areas 35, 36 , 37, 38 for identifying different active substances each having a different design and on which a manual crushing can be performed to release the volatile material disposed in the bead of adhesive 29 in the area 35, 36, 37, 38 concerned. The face 33 of the flap 15 can of course include both areas which are released by the aromatic substances of different characteristics but also several areas which are released by identical substances. The latter configuration allows the user to vary to convenience the amount of flavor released for one or more flavors in one pack cigarette while retaining the choice of flavor and vary 1 flavoring of products as and when their consumption. Referring to Figures 9 and 10, the inner face 33 of the flap 15 of the cover 2 comprises four rectangular exposed areas 39, 40, 41, 42; 43, 44, 45, 46 of substantially the same surfaces and are regularly distributed over the entire length of the flap 15 of the cover 2. Each zone 39, 40, 41, 42; 43, 44, 45, 46 is covered by the separable parts or separate 39a, 40a, 41a, 42a; 43a, 44a, 45a, 46a of the flap 15 serving as lids for each of the zones 39, 40, 41, 42. The opening of each valve member allows the distribution of the aromatic substance in the package by activating the volatile substance in glue. Referring specifically to Figure 9, the adhesive bead 29 contains an aromatic active substance distributed over at least part of its length and thus the user can choose at his convenience to open one or more lids 39a, 40a, 41a, 42a to diffuse the aromatic substance at the corresponding area 39, 40, 41, 42 which advantageously allows to modulate the amount of flavor released into the package. Referring to Figure 10, the adhesive bead 29 contains a plurality of aromatic substances of different characters, regularly and successively spread over at least a portion of adhesive bead 29, each substance being disposed under the flap 15 at the corresponding area 43 , 44, 45, 46. the distribution of aromatic substances in the adhesive bead 29 is such that each aromatic substance in the adhesive bead is disposed at a region 43, 44, 45, 46. each zone having a decor different, the user can choose the flavor to diffuse into the package through the opening of one of the lids 43a, 44a, 45a, 46a. 11 shows a tobacco pouch 47 having a 48 bag containing the smoking product not apparent in this Figure and 49 shown in the open position the flap and a member to fold in a 49Z fold line and releasably securing to the face 50 before the pocket 48 to keep the smoking product shielded from the external environment. According to one embodiment, the pocket 48 includes, on its inner face 51 at a zone which is located near the opening and is in contact with the smoking article when the flap 49 is folded over the front front 50, two strips 52, 53 printed in a printing varnishes and immobilizing each an aromatic substance in impermeable capsules evenly distributed on the respective strips 52, 53. As described above, the user can, by manual mechanical action rubbing or crushing for example, applied to all or part of one and / or the other strip 52, 53, releasing all or part of the substance on the strip 52, respectively 53. If, as shown in Figure 11, the two strips 52, 53 contain aromatic substances of different characteristics, a means of identification of the two strips 52, 53, for example a different design, allows the user to identify the a or aromatic substances selected in these bands 52, 53 and selecting the substance or substances to release according to his convenience. According to an embodiment not shown in the figures, it is possible to provide at least one active substance is hermetically disposed between two superposed sheets being releasably secured to one another to allow the user to release the substance contained between these sheets by manually separating these two sheets from each other. It is of course possible to provide several sets consisting of two sheets containing volatile substances identical flavors and / or different is arranged in the packet. Also, it is possible to provide an inner lining of the package with a printed varnish immobilizing flavor capsules. As regards the aromatic substances used, the skilled person will identify substances applicable to the device of the invention as well as means for fixing or encapsulating these aromatic substances. According to the invention, it is also possible for volatile substances other than aromatics, such as water to wet the smoking article according to the convenience of the consumer. The devices described above can be applied to any smoking product container having the requirements for, for example, disposing a coupon, containing an aromatic substance in the glue that is subsequently releasably affix or a system of two superimposed sheets on one of the internal surface of the container. These containers may be, e.g., a cigarette holder or a tobacco pouch or box.
