Description

The present invention also relates to a container for a smoking product comprising the device of the invention. To modify the aromatic characteristics of the primary smoke of a cigarette, it has been proposed to circulate the current of smoke through one or more flavored passage (s) most often arranged at the filter of a cigarette. . These devices are expensive and allow the smoker only a limited choice of modification of his product. They. only modify primary smoke when smoking the product. European patent EP 1 154 930 describes a method of packaging smoking articles, and more particularly cigarette packs, during which a volatile flavoring agent is placed in the pack and diffuses inside it as soon as it is closure during packaging. In this way, the aroma diffuses both into the smoking product and inside the package from the moment it is packaged, which allows, in addition to flavoring cigarette smoke, flavoring the inside the package creating a feeling of freshness, for example, when the package is opened by the user. However, in this case, the user does not control the diffusion of the aromatic substance in the container since the scent and the taste of the product to be smoked depend directly on the product added by the manufacturer, on the time elapsed between the packaging of the package and its opening by the user. Thus, for two identical packages, the aromatic characteristics of the smoking product contained in these packages can differ greatly if they were not packaged or opened on the same date. The smoker also does not have the choice of the nature of the volatile compound added to the smoking product. In this context, the invention relates to a device for modifying the in particular aromatic characteristics of a smoking product making it possible to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks. To this end, the device of the invention is essentially characterized in that it comprises a means of isolating at least one volatile modifying substance with the product to be smoked, a means of release 39a, 40a, 41a, 42a, 43a, 44a, 45a, 4βa of the volatile substance by action of the user of the smoking product and a means of confining the smoking product with the volatile substance after the volatile substance has been released. In this way, it is the user who chooses and activates the diffusion of the volatile substance according to his convenience. The volatile substance is chosen according to the desired effect. These may be compounds which will modify the characteristics of the smoking product and of its packaging. These compounds can advantageously be transferred to the primary and / or secondary smoke during the combustion of the product. They are, for example, aromatic compounds alone or in mixtures with volatile substances which can favorably modify other characteristics of the smoke or of the smoking product which interact with their components after their release by the smoker. Advantageously, the means for isolating the volatile substance is placed in the container for the smoking product at an apparent zone allowing to identify the presence of the aromatic substance in the package. According to a first aspect of the invention, the volatile substance is encapsulated in an impermeable envelope which can be released by the user.
In this case, the impermeable envelope can be constituted by capsules which contain the volatile substance and which can be broken by manual mechanical action. It can then be provided that the capsules are contained in a varnish or in a printing ink. As an alternative to encapsulation, the isolation means can consist of two superposed sheets hermetically enclosing the volatile substance, these two sheets forming a peelable system to allow their separation and the release of the volatile substance. In the latter case, provision can be made for the active substance to be on part of the container. Advantageously, the active substance is placed on a separate support 16, 19, 24 of the container which can be inserted therein by the smoker after activation in said container. According to a second aspect of the invention, when the container consists of the packet of smoking products such as for example a packet of cigars or cigarettes with a lid, the means of isolating the volatile substance is the glue fixing the flap of the cover on the internal front face of the latter. Advantageously, the volatile substance is contained in capsules which can be broken by manual mechanical action. According to an advantageous aspect of the invention, the isolation means comprises several apparent and distinct zones making it possible to identify the presence of at least one volatile substance in the package and allowing the user to release one or more substances different and / or identical volatiles by activating the appropriate zone of the isolation means. Each zone can indicate the presence of a volatile substance of different characteristic. Alternatively, several zones can be provided to indicate the presence of identical volatile substances. The invention also relates to a container for a smoking product comprising the device according to any one of the preceding claims. This container can be a cigarette or cigar case, a tobacco pouch or the pack of cigarettes or cigars in which the smoking products are sold. The invention will be better understood and other objects, advantages and characteristics thereof will appear more clearly on reading the description which follows and which is given with reference to the appended drawings which represent nonlimiting examples of embodiment of the device. the invention and in which: - Figure 1 is a perspective view of three quarters of a cigarette pack comprising the device of the invention according to a first embodiment; Figures 2 and 3 show first and second variants of the device of the invention according to the first embodiment; - Figure 4 is a perspective view of three quarters of a cigarette package comprising the device of the invention according to a second embodiment; - Figure 5 is a side view along arrow V of the cigarette package of Figure 4; - Figure 6 is an enlarged view of part VI of Figure 5; Figures 7 to 10 show first, second, third and fourth variants of a part of the device of the invention according to the second embodiment; and - Figure 11 shows in perspective a tobacco pouch comprising the device of the invention according to a third embodiment. Referring to Figure 1, a cigarette package 1 with hinged lid 2 comprises a pocket 3 consisting of two side panels 4, 5, a front panel 6, a rear panel 7 and a bottom panel 8 which are mounted and folded during the assembly process of the package and also includes a reinforcing collar 9 fixed in such a way that it protrudes from the latter. The cover 2 of the cigarette pack 1 comprises a front panel 10, two side panels 11, 12, a rear panel 13, an upper panel 14 and a flap 15 of the cover not shown in FIG. 1 but which will be described more precisely with reference to FIGS. 4 to 10. The package also usually comprises an interior lining, not shown, which envelops the group of cigarettes. The cigarette pack 1 of FIG. 1 comprises a coupon 16 included in this pack 1 or introduced when it is opened by the user and disposed in a removable manner preferably preferably in direct contact with the cigarettes. The coupon 16 is in the form of a relatively rigid sheet of rectangular shape, for example allowing its insertion into the package 1 and its removal from the package 1 by the user. This coupon can be inserted by the manufacturer in the package, between the over-envelope not shown which is generally added to the package or in any other place where it will be accessible to the smoker, for example in the grouping cartridge or even sold separately. A face 17 of the coupon 16 has an area 18 for example of rectangular shape and a surface slightly smaller than that of the coupon 16, said area being printed with a varnish which immobilizes capsules raincoats containing a volatile substance, for example aromatic. In this way, if the user wishes to flavor the cigarettes contained in the package 1 and the smoke obtained from these cigarettes, the coupon 16 is activated to ensure the release of the volatile substance by manual mechanical action, for example by scraping, exerted by the user at the area 18 of the coupon 16. The coupon 16 is then placed in the package, the face 17 of the coupon 16, which contains the aromatic substance, preferably facing the cigarettes contained in the package 1 to allow the volatile substance to diffuse into cigarettes after the package has been closed. The coupon 16 shown in Figure 1 has a single rectangular area 18 on which the scraping action exerted by the user can be total or partial so as to be able to modulate the aroma content which diffuses into the package. If the user wishes to limit the diffusion of the volatile substance in the package 1, the coupon 16 can be withdrawn. The coupon 19 represented in FIG. 2 is of the same type as that described with reference to FIG. 1 but has four apparent rectangular zones 20, 21, 22, 23 for example substantially of the same surfaces and which each contain the same encapsulated aromatic substance and immobilized, in a varnish as described for coupon 16 of FIG. 1. By this configuration, the user controls more precisely the quantity of volatile substance released and can modulate the strength of the aroma in the smoking product and in the package. by choosing to activate one or more zones. This variant also offers him the possibility of assigning an aromatic profile a specific number of cigarettes and modify the remaining products using another method. The coupon 24 shown in FIG. 3 also includes four visible zones 25, 26, 27, 28 of substantially identical surfaces but each containing aromatic substances of different flavors. Each of zones 25, 26, 27, 28 has a separate decoration allowing the user to identify the aromatic substances contained in zones 25, 26, 27, 28 of coupon 24. In this way, the user can choose the aroma of the product to be smoked at its convenience. Of course, the coupon 16, 19, 24 containing the aromatic substance or substances may be in any geometric form allowing it to be inserted into the cigarette package. Depending on the form adopted, the coupon can be arranged as shown in Figure 1 but also between cigarettes or at any other place in the package allowing the diffusion of the aromatic substance in the smoking products when the package is closed. According to the invention, the zones 5, 8 to 11, 13 to 16 can be printed in a printing ink comprising the flavored capsules. It is also possible to provide capsules having adsorbed or absorbed the aromatic substance allowing the release of the volatile substance by manual mechanical action exerted on these capsules, for example by crushing. The means for isolating the volatile substance can be a coupon as described above or be constituted by the upper part accessible by the smoker when the package is opened. The volatile substances are then protected and released according to the same means as described for the independent coupon. Referring to Figure 4, the isolation means of the invention is disposed at the flap 15 of the cover 2 of the cigarette pack 1. With reference to Figures 5 and 6, it is constituted by the bead of glue 29 which fixes a first face 30 of the flap 15 on the internal face 31 of the front panel 10 of the cover 2 and contains a volatile aromatic substance. Figures 6 to 9 show the outer face 32 of the front panel 10 of the cover 2 and the second face having no glue 33 of the flap 15 in an unfolded and unglued configuration for a better understanding of the device of the invention. With reference to FIGS. 6 and 7, the aromatic substance is hermetically contained in capsules immobilized in the bead of adhesive 29. By crushing action exerted on the face 33 of the flap 15, the capsules containing the aromatic substance are broken and the released volatile substance diffuses through the flap 15 and into the inward fold of the cigarette pack 1 to flavor the smoking products. The face 33 of the flap 15 may include one or more distinct zones 34, 35, 36, 37, 38 to identify the presence of one or more aromatic substance (s) in the bead of glue 29 under the flap 15 at the level of the corresponding zone (s). The device shown in Figure 7 has a single rectangular area 34 of dimensions slightly smaller than that of the flap 15. A manual crushing exerted on all or part of the area 34 allows to release all or part of the volatile substance encapsulated and contained in the bead of glue 29. In the device shown in FIG. 8, four different aromatic substances are regularly and successively distributed over the length of the bead of adhesive 29. The face 33 of the flap 15 has, in this case, four visible zones 35, 36, 37, 38 for identifying the different active substances each having a different decoration and on which manual crushing can be exerted to release the volatile substance placed in the bead of adhesive 29 under the zone 35, 36, 37, 38 concerned. The face 33 of the flap 15 can of course comprise both zones through which aromatic substances of different characteristics are released, but also several zones through which identical substances are released. This last configuration allows the user to modulate at his convenience the quantity of aroma diffused for one or more aromas in the same cigarette package while retaining the choice of aroma and to vary the flavoring of the products as and as they are consumed. Referring to Figures 9 and 10, the inner face 33 of the flap 15 of the cover 2 has four rectangular apparent areas 39, 40, 41, 42; 43, 44, 45, 46 substantially the same surfaces and regularly distributed over the entire length of the flap 15 of the cover 2. Each zone 39, 40, 41, 42; 43, 44, 45, 46 is covered by separable or separated parts 39a, 40a, 41a, 42a; 43a, 44a, 45a, 46a of the flap 15 acting as a seal for each of the zones 39, 40, 41, 42. The opening of each seal allows the aromatic substance to diffuse into the pack by activating the volatile substance in glue. With specific reference to FIG. 9, the bead of glue 29 contains an aromatic active substance distributed over at least part of its length and thus the user can choose, at his convenience, to open one or more lids 39a, 40a, 41a, 42a to do diffusing the aromatic substance at the corresponding zone 39, 40, 41, 42 which advantageously makes it possible to modulate the quantity of aroma diffused in the package. With reference to FIG. 10, the bead of glue 29 contains several aromatic substances of different characters, regularly and successively distributed over at least part of the bead of glue 29, each substance being placed under the flap 15 at the corresponding zone 43 , 44, 45, 46. The distribution of the aromatic substances in the bead of glue 29 is such that each aromatic substance in the bead of glue is arranged at a zone 43, 44, 45, 46. Each zone presenting a decoration different, the user can thus choose the aroma to be diffused in the package by the opening of one of the lids 43a, 44a, 45a, 46a. FIG. 11 represents a tobacco joke 47 comprising a pocket 48 containing the smoking product not visible in this figure and a flap 49 shown in the open position and coming to fold along a fold line 49z and to be removably attached to the face front 50 of the pocket 48 to keep the smoking product away from the outside environment. According to one embodiment, the pocket 48 comprises, on its internal face 51 at an area which is located near the opening and which is in contact with the product to be smoked when the flap 49 is folded over the face before 50, two strips 52, 53 printed in a printing varnish and each immobilizing an aromatic substance contained in waterproof capsules regularly distributed on the strips 52, 53 respectively. As described above, the user can, by manual mechanical action friction or crushing for example, exerted on all or part of one and / or the other strip 52, 53, release all or part of the substance contained on this strip 52, respectively 53. If, as shown in FIG. 11, the two strips 52, 53 contain aromatic substances of different characteristics, a means of identifying the two bands 52, 53, for example a different decoration, allows the user to identify the aromatic substance or substances retained on these bands 52, 53 and to choose the substance or substances to be released according to his convenience. According to an embodiment not shown in the figures, it is possible to provide that at least one active substance is placed hermetically between two superimposed sheets by being detachably fixed one on the other to allow the user to release the substance contained between these sheets by manually separating these two sheets from each other. It is of course possible to provide that several sets consisting of two sheets containing volatile substances of identical and / or different flavors are placed in the package. Also, it is possible to provide an interior lining of the printed package with a varnish immobilizing flavored capsules. With regard to the aromatic substances used, a person skilled in the art will be able to determine the substances applying to the device of the invention as well as the means for fixing or encapsulating these aromatic substances. According to the invention, it is also possible to provide volatile substances other than aromatic substances, such as for example water to moisten the smoking product according to the convenience of the consumer. The devices described above can be applied to any container of smoking product having the configurations required for, for example, place a coupon, contain an aromatic substance in the glue which can be released later or affix a system with two sheets superimposed on one of the internal faces of the container. These containers can be, for example, a cigarette holder or a pocket or a tobacco box.
