Abstract

The mechanism comprises four underframe elements 12, 10, 15 and 17 articulated to each other. In the folded back position, the head element 12 projects considerably above the folded foot element 17 forming a seat, to constitute at least partially, with the mattress which it supports, the backrest of the seat. The head element 12 receives a longitudinal extension 33 which extends the bedding and the surface of the backrest.
