Description
La présente invention se rapporte au récipient au moyen duquel on prélève le liquide séminal des animaux mâles, de préférence des palmipèdes. The present invention relates to the container by means of which the seminal fluid is withdrawn from male animals, preferably palmipeds.
Actuellement-, le liquide séminal des palmipèdes mâles est recueilli à l'aide d'éprouvette longue et étroite se prêtant mal à cette tâche , compte-tenu de la forme de-l'organe de copulation des palmipèdes. Il en résulte bien souvent des pertes du liquide séminal, ainsi qu'une contamination de ce dernier par des impuretés qui tombent dans le fond de l'éprou- vette. En outre, le glissement du liquide séminal sur la paroi intérieure de l'éprouvette, entraîne, pour le récupérer, afin de le conditionner ou de le transvaser dans une seringue d'insémination, provoque des pertes de liquide. Tel que représenté en figures I et 2, le collecteur est constitue d'un corps 1 conique et ongitudinal, lequel a une extrémité 2 évasée et ouverte, et l'autre extrémité 3 rétrécie et partiellement fermée. L'extrémité 2 comporte un renflement 4 circulaire qui arrête les souillures provenant des petites plumes situées autour de l'organe de copulation. Ledit renflement 4, à son point le plus large, a une circonférence bien plus importante que celle de l'ouverture 8, de manière à jouer avantageusement le rôle de retenue. L'extrémité 3 va en rétrécissant formant un col S et au-delà de ce dernier le collecteur forme une sphère 6.
