Abstract

The invention relates to a device allowing the use of French timber elements of large cross-section, in a timber structure whose meshwork is designed to receive the insulating material and the external facing in a length of 200. The design of the symmetrical assembly between upright and crosspiece enables the varying stresses to be taken up without the structure being damaged and provides the latter with good transverse stability. It consists of a bottom crosspiece 1 resting on the concrete slab or on timber girders on which there are assembled uprights 2 of width e and uprights 3 of width f. These uprights are assembled at the top part on the crosspiece 4 which receives the frame or the girders. The bracing elements 5 assembled in the first bay with an intermediate crosspiece 6 provide stability in the plane of the panel. The assembly 7 of the uprights on the crosspieces or of the bracing elements is carried out by means of connectors with teeth, the thickness of which depends on the stresses to be taken up. The device according to the invention is particularly intended for the walls of one- or two-storey detached houses.
