Abstract

The release has a rod (7) which extends laterally through a pivotal mounting sleeve (13) in a cylindrical section (2) of the waste-pipe. The upper end of the section of the waste-pipe forms a collar (3) for connection to e.g. the sink whilst the lower end contains a hole (5) which receives the U-bend. The mounting sleeve (13) is wholly contained within the side wall of the section of the waste-pipe and receives a threaded cap (11) which holds two rings (9,10) in place on either side of an enlargement (8) on the rod.
