Abstract

The sliding shutter (E) is used to vary the front opening in a fire place. It is rectangular and is moved vertically by hand or electric motor power, and can include thermostatic control. The shutter has hand grips to move it and side latches to hold it firmly in a chosen position. The installation can have side screens (F,G) of heat resistant glass or metal to make the fire place front opening into a vertical rectangle. Description
