Abstract

The antitheft device is adaptable for either motor cars or motor cycles. The device raises the vehicle from the ground in the case of a motor cycle, or lifts the rear wheels of a motor car from the ground. If the motor car is towed from the front the device holds the back wheels above the ground. A steering lock makes towing from the rear difficult. The device contains an electric motor driving a screw running in a threaded hole in the lower extension. The operation of the electric motor is controlled by a key switch. Limit switches are provided, and electrical connection made to the motor vehicle starter motor circuit, so that the engine can only be started when the lower extension is fully raised.
