Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an industrialized framework intended for the construction of walls and more particularly for the construction of walls of buildings for use as dwellings.
Many frame construction processes are known. For the record, we will mention the half-timbered frames assembled by tenons and mortises, used in the construction of so-called half-timbered walls. Some of our regions of France have very old half-timbered houses which are an illustration of the solidity over time of such buildings. The increase in the price of wood associated with the lack of specialized labor contributed to abandonment of this type of construction.
There are wooden frames of small cross-section, the connection of which is made using the spiked plates used by manufacturers of wooden trusses. However, this process requires a large volume of material and its fairly limited use seems to be reserved for the light construction of bungalows or small houses for use in second homes.
Some industrialized house builders use metal structures; these are an integral part of their construction system and prevent any changes in terms of exterior cladding and the dimensions of standard buildings offered to customers.
The posts, whether they are beams of the IPNou type constituted by the connection of two profiles forming the sides of metal frames, are connected to the feet of the -farms and form with the latter a series of parallel gantries. On the metal posts are fixed, using mechanical connections, the external facings, generally reinforced concrete plates, which constitute the walls and brace the building in the planes of the walls.
Another method consists in fixing a metallic grid on the posts and in spraying on the latter a layer of concrete a few centimeters thick; this is also this wall which braces the walls in their general plan.
In addition to the noises and cracks generated by direct concrete-metal connections, these different structures are fixed in the position of their elements due to the connection of trusses and posts which must be of large section or numerous since they support the weight of the cover and a bone part of that of the walls.
The frame object of the present invention eliminates the drawbacks previously exposed. It allows, in fact, the association of different materials, such as, for example, wood and metal whose displacements at the connections generate no noise, for the construction of industrialized elements easily transportable, manipulated without assistance of handling equipment due to their low weight and whose assembly on site does not require labor or specialized tools. The interposition of belt beams between the cover and the framework of the different levels of the multi-storey constructions does not require that the trusses and the posts are in the same module. The preferential use of the present framework associated with an exterior facing built using ceramic tiles which can either be supported or linked to posts and belt beams using fixing lugs, allows customers to offer a wide range of dimensions.
The present framework is composed a) of a high belt beam on which are fixed the feet of the trusses, this belt beam which delimits in a horizontal plane a geometric figure, generally a parallelogram, is stiffened in this same horizontal plane by metal beams working in tension and in compression connecting on one hand the angles of the above parallelogram along its diagonals, on the other hand the sides of the above parallelogram along lines substantially parallel to its medians, b) bracing beams of the parallelogram formed by the high belt made up of metal profile elements of length slightly greater than the distance separating two. junction points, the ends of these elements are drilled so as to allow the passage of junction accessories such as screw collars. The beams thus formed are linked
- to the belt beam using metal brackets integral with the latter on which they are bolted,
- between them and in the gutters - trusses at each of their meeting places using mechanical fixing means such as screw collars, c) posts, the material and section of which depend on the nature of the facing and their method of attachment and the load transmitted by the belt beam.
In the assembly chosen to illustrate one of the possible uses of the invention, the posts are made of wrought wood and treated against attack by moisture and parasites. Each post has the shape of a rectangular parallelepiped of rectangular section, the width of the rectangle corresponds to the internal dimension of the metal slide of the frame, inside which the post is housed, its length is slightly greater than two depths interior of the slide so that part of the post remains visible when it is trapped between two frames. Each post is crossed by three holes, one near each end and one in the center opposite with the holes on the sides of the frame so as to allow the passage of the three bolts which provide the post-chassis connection,
The posts positioned on the catés of the openings are likely to receive particular machining intended to allow the instantaneous positioning of the part forming the frame of the exterior menui series or of metallic frames generally called "frames".
Each post rigidified by its attachment to the side of a chassis at least, the latter preventing any lateral buckling movement can be of reduced section.
For transport and possible storage on site, the wooden posts can be linked to the sides of the frames which prevent any deformation.
- to position the posts and beams of belts,
- to join together the vertices of the posts and the belt beam they support.
- to join together the feet of the posts and the ground or the feet of the posts and the belt beam which supports them,
- to stiffen the posts by maintaining them and thus preventing any buckling deformation,
- to brace the framework in the general plane of the wall
The frames intended to brace the framework of the walls are parallelograms, generally rectangles, one dimension of which is a submultiple or the chosen module, the other being substantially equal to a floor height. Smaller parallelograms are arranged as lintels and window and door sills. the frames intended for constituting the gable frame will be triangular or trapezoidal.
These frames are constructed using metal profiles welded together at their ends. They comprise at least one face parallel to the face of the element with which they are linked as well as one face arranged in a plane parallel to their general plane at least as regards the sides of the frames in contact with the posts. The face parallel to the general plane of the chassis on which the braces are welded will preferably be located in one of the two largest external planes of the chassis; as a result the interior volume of the chassis is cleared and can then be used for the installation of insulation materials.
Various commercial profiles meet these requirements such as I or U, L and Z shapes, as well as tubes of square or rectangular section. The U-shaped profiles called "cbulises" allow easier manufacturing. Depending on the nature of the post and the expected result, it is possible to orient the wings of these slides towards the outside of the chassis, towards the interior of the chassis, in the same direction or combine these orientations. The rectangular or trapezoidal frames thus obtained are braced in positions which are substantially those of the diagonals by tie rods of steel plates welded at their ends to the base and at the top of the profiles in contact with the posts, on one or one of the faces. of the profile which is parallel to the general frame of the chassis.
The contact faces of the chassis on which the other elements of the framework are fixed have holes which allow the passage of the mechanical- connecting means. The vertical faces of the frames in contact with the posts are drilled as close as possible to their ends and at least in the center, the horizontal faces are drilled as close as possible to their ends and according to the spacing module of the floor support beams for the horizontal faces of the frames in contact with the upper face of the intermediate belt beams of multi-storey constructions.
According to one of the possible uses, but not limiting, frame object of the present invention is associated with a frame composed of metal and wood trusses with tensioned ties. The feet of these trusses rest on a metal slide which covers the upper part of the wooden belt beam. This metal slide which participates in the distribution of the loads of the cover is drilled according to the module for spacing the trusses in line with the holes in the truss legs so that the truss leg, smooth neck, wooden belt beam assembly is secured using fixing means such as lag bolts.
According to the embodiment illustrated in Figure 1, there is a concrete slab 1 on which, along line 6, are fixed frames of type 2, 3 and 4, the description of which will be made with reference to the figures 2 and 3, by means of connecting means of the expansion plug and screw type arranged along the axes 7 representing the position of the holes in the lower and upper parts of the chassis. On the vertical sides of these frames are connected wooden posts 8 using bolts 33 arranged along the axes 9, 9a and 9b. At the top of the openings 10 and 11 are fixed the chassis 5, whose constitution is identical to a chassis 2, using bolts 33 arranged along the axes 9b. The angle chassis 3 are linked together by bolting according to the axes 9, 9a and 9b on a metal angle 32 shown in Figure o.
On the top of the assembly obtained, consisting of posts and chassis, is placed an intermediate wooden belt beam 12 on which is placed a new series of chassis 2,3 and 4. The lower chassis assembly, intermediate belt beam, chassis upper is secured by bolts 33 which pass through the chassis and the beam along the axes 7 as shown in FIG. 8.
The upper posts 8 are placed at the same time as the frames and linked to the latter in the same way as the posts on the ground floor. The not shown ends of the floor support beams come to rest on the base of the upper chassis and are linked to the intermediate belt beam by bolts arranged on the axes 7 or to the right of additional not shown bores located in the same plane as the axes 7.
7. On the top of the storey frame is placed a high wooden belt beam 13, linked to the top of the posts by means of the frames to which it is fixed by lag bolts 35 arranged along the axes 7 as shown in the fig. 7.
The frame of the gables 14 is constituted in the same way as that of the walls using frames whose sole shape differs, it will be triangular for the frames 17 and trapezoidal for the frames 18 the posts 15 and 16 are of different lengths from that of the posts. The parallelogram formed in the horizontal plane by the belt beam 13 is braced along its diagonals by beams 19 and lines parallel to its medians by beams 20. In our example the framework is associated with a frame which is not part of the invention, constituted by trusses 21 with tensioned ties 22, it is these ties 22 which serve as beams of type 20 in directions parallel to the pinions 14.
As an indication, the stability of the frame is ensured by a bracing line 23 located at the top of the trusses 21 connected to the upper belt 13 by means of struts 24 whose lower end 25 is integral with the part of connection which fixes the ends of a beam 20 to the belt beam 13.
All these beams 19 and 20 formed using elements 19a and 20a and the ties 22 are secured at each of their meeting points 26 using screw collars 27, a representation of which is given in FIG. 9.
FIG. 2 represents a chassis constructed using metal slides linked by welding at their ends.
The slides 28 in contact with the posts have their wings oriented towards the outside of the frame and are drilled at their ends and at the center of holes arranged on the axes 9, 9a and 9b.
The slide 29 in contact with the belt beam has its wings oriented towards the outside of the chassis and is pierced with 2 holes arranged on the axes 7.
The slide 30 in contact with the ground has its wings oriented towards the inside of the chassis and is also pierced with holes in line with the axes 7.
The frame formed by the slides 28, 29 and 30 is braced along its diagonals by tie rods 31 in metal plate welded at their ends on one side of the chassis 2.
FIG. 3 represents another type of chassis whose profiles 28 and 28a have their wings oriented in the same direction so as to be able to link them to the corners of the construction by bolting the profiles 28a onto an angle iron 32 as shown in Figure 6.
Le reste de la constitution est identique au châssis 2.The rest of the constitution is identical to chassis 2.
