Abstract

The building frameworks is constructed from prefabricated sections using assembly nodes which secure together the ends of posts (6), beams (10), roofing struts (8) and reinforcing braces. Each node presents at least one planar metallic plate inserted into a central slot contained in the end or some intermediate part of each wooden section and bolted in position. The nodes (1) supporting the posts (6) pref. have a flange either side of the metallic plate against which the end of the post (6) bears.
