Abstract

Procédé de récupération d'acides carboxyliques aliphatiques et/ou de leurs esters par distillation d'un mélange liquide contenant l'acide et/ou son ester et un catalyseur à base d'un métal du groupe VIII de la classification périodique des éléments. Ce procédé est caractérisé en ce que la distillation est effectuée en présence d'oxyde de carbone sous une pression partielle d'au moins 0,01 bar (pression absolue) pour empêcher la décomposition du catalyseur. Application à la récupération par exemple d'acide acétique formé par une réaction de carbonylation de l'éthanol avec l'oxyde de carbone.
