Abstract

Dispositif destiné à limiter et réguler la vitesse d'un véhicule automobile et/ou le régime d'un moteur. Ce dispositif est composé d'un capteur de vitesse et d'un capteur de position de la timonerie d'accélération, qui envoient leurs informations à un système de commande. Le système de commande convertit les informations analogiques venant des capteurs en données numériques. Partant des données numériques sur la vitesse, un calculateur inclus dans le système de commande calcule l'accélération du véhicule ou du moteur. En comparant ces trois paramètres, position, vitesse et accélération, à des valeurs présélectionnées, le calculateur décide du sens et de la vitesse de déplacement, s'il y a lieu, d'un organe de rappel de la timonerie d'accélération. Une biellette élastique, située entre la pédale d'accélération et le point d'application de la source de force de l'organe de rappel, protège la timonerie des surcharges et, dans ce cas, le dispositif ne peut pas être contrecarré. La biellette élastique peut aussi être placée entre la source de force et la timonerie; dans ce cas, l'utilisateur a la possibilité au prix d'un effort supplémentaire de dépasser momentanément la vitesse de régulation présélectionnée.
