Abstract

The weight sensor circuit has a square wave generator which supplies a sawtooth generator whose output is limited. A power circuit is used to drive the weight sensors. The sawtooth generator also drives a threshold circuit whose valve is compared with a reference voltage. The threshold circuit output controls analogue gating circuits. The power circuit is also connected via an impedance matching circuit and gate to a memory whose output is proportional to the speed of the conveyor. A comparator connected to the memory output controls the square wave generator. The sensor output is connected via an impedance matching circuit and gate to a memory to provide a dc output signal proportional to speed and weight of material flow. The arrangement avoids complex transformation and rectification of an AC signal.
