Abstract

PURPOSE:To ensure continuation of a stable operation with a simple construction against sudden change in the load of a motor by compensating control of an output voltage of a frequency converter according to the current flowing through an ac motor to be driven thereby. CONSTITUTION:An output voltage of a frequency converter which is adapted to drive an ac motor with an ac power or by converting a dc power into an ac power with an desired frequency is controlled in a compensating manner according to the current flowing through an ac motor. For example, a function generator 15 is used to generate an output signal of a current transformer 7, namely, a signal according to the current of a motor 5 which is added to an output signal of a voltage/frequency setter 9 and a deviation between the resulting signal and the output signal of a detection transformer 8 is amplified 10. The deviation between the output and a current signal is amplified 11 to control a power rectifier 2 by way of a gate pulse generator 12 while a power inverter 4 is controlled by way of a voltage-frequency converter 13 and a pulse distributer 14 with an output signal of the setter 9.
