Abstract

PURPOSE: To apply reverse bias voltage to power semiconductor at a fixed position by sending gate signal by detecting the both terminal voltages of resonance inductor and resonance capacitor.
CONSTITUTION: When controlling operation by connecting the fly-wheel diode 34, the resonance capacitor 35, and the resonance inductor 36 to the power semiconductor 33 and then by using the control circuit 4, the output of the pulse-generating circuit 46 is put in the pulse swidth decision circuit 49 to which is given a stop signal from the detection circuit 51 to detect zero-erossing voltage from the terminal of the inductor 36, and the output is applied to the gate drive circuit 50 so as to give gate signal at the time of ON of the semiconductor 33 and reverse bias voltage at the time of OFF. Thus, even if resonance frequency changes and thus the connection and commutation time of the semiconductor 33 is changed, reverse bias voltage can be applied at a fixed position at any time, thus obtaining stable operation
