Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the sudden changes of the terminal voltage of a load coil, by preventing the device in a mode that the gate phase control angles of a thyristor transduser are synchronized with the by-pass operation of a diode transducer.
CONSTITUTION: When a contact 5a closes and signals e2 are applied to a phase controller 3 through an addition portion 6, a thyristor transducer TH generates DC voltage higher than DC voltage just before the contact 5a closes only by voltage Vd. Consequently, when a diode transducer D is brought to by-pass operation, the DC voltage Vd of the diode transducer D becomes zero, but the thyristor transducer TH generates high DC voltage only by the decreasing portion, thus constantly keeping the terminal voltage Vc of a load coil 2 before and after starting by-pass operation.
