Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify a circuit and reduce its cost, by using a general-purpose arithmetic amplifier and integrating an oscillator with a pulse width control circuit.
CONSTITUTION: A general-purpose operational amplifier OPA is provided and an oscillator is integrated with a pulse width control circuit so that a switch control section SWC is formed. In the switch control section, a capacitor C2 is charged through a diode D3 and discharged through another diode D4. The output signal of the switch control section SWC is repeatedly raised and lowered to turn the switch SW on and off. When the output signal is low, the time of closing of the switch SW is equal to the time constant of the capacitor C2, the diode D4 and a resistor r4 and fixed. When the output signal is high, the time of opening of the switch SW depends on the time constant of a parallel circuit comprising the capacitor C2, the diode D3, a resistor r3 and a transistor Tr. The current of the transistor is controlled to regulate the time of opening of the switch SW. A cheap device of a simple circuit is thus obtained.
