Abstract

The reset circuit, for E.g. a flip flop, consists of a capacitor (C1) and a voltage divider (R1, R2) in series between the supply poles. A reverse-biased diode (D) is connected across the divider. A trigger (5) is connected by its input to the divided voltage and produces the reset signal at its output (7). The trigger may consist of a bipolar transistor with base input and collector output or of an FET in the same configuration. (In the latter case the diode/divider/capacitor circuit is modified slightly).
