PURPOSE: To convert a current pulse, which is proportional to incident X ray energy, to a high-precision crest voltage pulse by integrating the current pulse above by an integrating amplifier and detecting the output of the integrating amplifier and controlling the integrating amplifier by a switching means after a fixed time.
CONSTITUTION: Current pulse i proportional to incident X ray energy obtained from X ray detector 10 is integrated by integrating amplifier 11. Integrating capacitor 12 is connected between input and output terminals of this integrating amplifier 11, and analogue switch (FET, etc.,) 13 is connected in parallel to capacitor 12. The output of integrating amplifier 11 is supplied to control pulse generation circuit 14 also, and analogue switch 13 is controlled by the output of this control pulse generation circuit 14, thereby converting waveform 22 of output signal V0 of integrating amplifier 11 to a short-tail pulse output as shown in the figure. As a result, high-precision crest voltage pulse V0 can be obtained even if current pulse i incident to integrating amplifier 11 is a current pulse incident at a period corresponding to dead time td of detector 10.
