Abstract
The water circulating pump for a central heating system is switched on or off when controlled from demanded and actual temperature controls. The pump is driven by an a synchronous electric motor connected to a mains supply. The water temperature in the flow pipe to the room heat exchanger is measured by sensor and is controlled by mixing in water from the return pipe. The pump is disconnected while the demanded temperature value of water is equal or lower than the demanded room temperature as determined by a sensor. During long off periods the pump is switched on for brief periods.
