Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de production de gels hydrophiles très absorbants de l'eau, qui consiste à polymériser de l'acide acrylique et/ou de l'acide méthacrylique en présence d'alcool polyvinylique pour obtenir un polymère que l'on soumet ensuite à une neutralisation suivie d'un traitement thermique ou à un traitement thermique suivi d'une neutralisation, ou à polymériser un sel d'acide acrylique et/ou d'acide méthacrylique en présence d'alcool polyvinylique pour obtenir un polymère que l'on soumet ensuite à un traitement thermique.
