Abstract
L'invention est relative à des électrodes et plus particulièrement à un procédé de préparation d'un revêtement pour électrode avec un dérivé du ruthénium. Dans ce procédé, un substrat d'électrode est revêtu successivement, par une première et une seconde solution contenant différentes proportions de ruthénium dissous et de métal pour valve; la seconde solution a un rapport de métal pour valve au ruthénium plus élevé que la première solution. Le substrat est contacté avec la première solution liquide et puis chauffé de façon à oxyder le ruthénium et le métal pour valve déposés, la surface oxydée est ensuite contactée avec une seconde solution et chauffée de façon à oxyder le métal déposé. Les électrodes métalliques selon la présente invention sont utilisées comme anodes ou cathodes dans des procédés électrolytiques tels que par exemple dans la production de chlorate, d'hypochlorite, de chlore et d'hydroxyde de métaux alcalins.
