Abstract
Selon ce procédé, la bande d'où sont fabriqués par emboutissage et réétirage les corps et couvercles de boîtes est en un alliage d'aluminium contenant comme principaux éléments d'alliage, outre les impuretés habituelles, 0,4 à 1,0 % de manganèse et 1,3 à 2,5 % de magnésium. Cet alliage est coulé en continu en une bande sur une machine à couler des bandes, la bande est laminée à chaud de façon continue et à la vitesse de coulée, enroulée à chaud puis laissée refroidir à l'air. La bande refroidie est amenée à l'épaisseur finale par laminage à froid. La masse fondue pour la coulée de la bande peut être préparée de façon économique à partir de déchets d'aluminium. Le procuré convient donc excellement au recyclage de boîtes usagées, pour aliments, boissons ou autres produits.
