Abstract

A solar radiation trap is in teh form of a hollow panel through which a liq. is passed to pick up heat from the heat exchange plate on top of the panel. The panel is on type which has a transparent cover through which the suns rays impinge on the top surface of the heat exchange plate. Liq. is passed through the narrow channel between the heat exchange plate and the base plate which is supported on thermal insulation. The top surface of the heat exchange plate facing the transparent cover is provided with a multitude of spherical protuberances, pref. pressed. Each protuberance pref. has a dia. of 10mm and a height of 8mm. The protuberances pref. cover the surface at 1500-3000 per square metre.
