Abstract
L'invention concerne une culasse moulée de moteur munie d'orifices d'admission hélicoïdaux. Selon l'invention, au moins 50 % de la surface de chacun des orifices d'admission sont usinés. Chaque orifice peut être formé en deux opérations d'usinage, l'une servant à former le conduit d'admission 10C et l'autre la cuvette 12C génératrice de tourbillon qui comporte une partie inférieure cylindrique et une partie supérieure hémisphérique. Un évidement 22C peut être formé par une troisième opération d'usinage dans un côté de la cuvette. Le conduit d'admission peut être muni, à son extrémité intérieure, d'un manchon rapporté 20C dont l'extrémité intérieure 21C fait saillie dans la cuvette et forme une barrière pour dévier le tourbillon du courant des gaz d'arrivée. Alternativement, l'orifice peut être formé asymétriquement par usinage au moyen d'une machine-outil à commande numérique, le manchon étant remplacé par une lèvre usinée. Application aux moteurs à combustion interne du type à injection.
