Abstract

La présente invention concerne des compositions de formation d'image qui fondent à chaud et qui sont utiles pour le revêtement de substrats de papier, sans faire appel à des solvants. Les substrats de papier ainsi revêtus constituent des papiers sans carbone, sensibles à la pression, qui comprennent environ 27 à 32 % en poids de microcapsules de formation d'image; ces microcapsules sont pratiquement sèches et comprennent une substance organique liquide de remplissage, constituant un précurseur de coloration, qui est enfermée dans une coquille résistante, imperméable, en polymère de condensation mélamine-urée-formaldéhyde essentiellement exempt d'agents mouillants; ce polymère est le produit de réaction d'un mélange comprenant environ 50 % en poids de formaldéhyde, 42 à 50 % en poids d'urée et jusqu'à 8 % en poids de mélamine; les capsules contiennent environ 50 à 60 % en poids de ladite substance de remplissage liquide; le reste de la composition comprend un liant fondant à chaud, solide à la température ambiante et dont le point de fusion est en dessous d'environ 150 degrés C. Les substrats de papier peuvent être enduits desdites compositions par les techniques de revêtement usuelles, pour donner des papiers sans carbone.
