Abstract

The furnace has a solid fuel hearth (2) fitted with a heat accumulator (6). The hearth is fed through the opening(9). A second hearth or combustion region (3) is for gaseous fuels and is fitted with an automatic regulator (5) fitted with baffles (4). The solid fuel combustion rate is regulated by the combustion air. Ashes are collected in the bin (7) underneath. The solid fuel furnace may be used for burning refuse.
